Today was our wonderful end of school celebration / pizza party for our Pen Pal program!

At the start of the school year, our volunteers were connected with elementary students from Washington Catholic Schools and Veale Elementary.

This intergenerational program focuses on handwritten letters between the children and volunteers. Today was the culmination of all that hard work and correspondence!!

And the best part - meeting your Pen Pal for the first time!!!

Our volunteers loved serving breakfast at the United Way of Daviess County kickoff breakfast this morning for Day of Caring!!

Tomorrow is the Daviess County United Way Day of Caring. Zella Taylor, executive director of United Way, sums up the important day… Projects will include landscaping, cleaning, repairs, and other improvements for local agencies and public spaces.
