The 4th Annual Slocum Shootout is next Monday, and there's still room on the course.

Golfers: a foursome is $1,000 and covers lunch, food and drinks on the course, games, raffles, live music, and a 4 PM wrap-up with passed apps, drinks, and winners. It's a scramble, so every level of player fits right in.

Businesses: sponsorships are open right up through event day. The Cigar Station, Air Cannon, and Clink 'n Sink are still available, along with tee signs at $175 and plenty of other ways to get involved.

100% of proceeds go to our partners, Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and The Saint Elizabeth Community.

Plenty of people care about Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and The Saint Elizabeth Community and have no intention of picking up a golf club. That's fine. There are two other ways in.

Donate directly at any amount, or put your name on a tee sign for $175 — it's on the course all day whether you're there or not.

100% of proceeds go to the two organizations either way. Last year that came to $13,500.

What Monday, October 5 actually looks like:

10:00 AM — check-in at Potowomut Golf Club
11:00 AM — scramble tee-off
Through the afternoon — lunch, food and drinks on the course, live music, and a couple of stops worth planning around. The Air Cannon lets you launch your own ball off the tee box, with volunteers helping you line it up, and you can land on the green in one. Clink 'n Sink is a putting green lined with liquor bottles — sink it, keep the bottle.
4:00 PM — raffle results, heavy passed apps, and the part where everyone stands around talking too long.

Note the check-in time: 10:00 AM. Earlier listings had it wrong.

A foursome is $1,000, and 100% of proceeds go to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and The Saint Elizabeth Community.

A tee sign at the Slocum Shootout is $175. That puts your business on the course all day, on slocumshootout.com, and in the printed program, at a tournament where 100% of proceeds go to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and The Saint Elizabeth Community.

If you want more than that, there's a full ladder above it — station sponsorships, contest sponsorships, packages that include a team of four. Tiers close as they sell, so what's available changes week to week. Everything still open is listed on the registration page.

Last year this day raised $13,500.

Last year the Slocum Shootout raised $13,500, and every dollar of it went to the American Parkinson Disease Association and Button Hole Golf Course.

Year four is Monday, October 5 at Potowomut Golf Club. Check-in at 10:00 AM, scramble tee-off at 11:00. Lunch, food and drinks on the course, games, raffle, live music, and a few hours of the best networking you'll do all fall.

A foursome is $1,000. It's a scramble, so if you haven't played since last October you'll be fine.

We could describe what The Saint Elizabeth Community does. It lands better coming from them.

Trusted care since 1882, right here in Rhode Island. They're one of the two partners the Slocum Shootout exists for, alongside Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, and 100% of what the day raises goes to the two of them.

Fourth year, same first tee, same reason.

Four of the most visible spots on the course are still unclaimed, and each one puts your name somewhere people actually stop.

Cigar Station — $3,000
Clink 'n Sink Putting Challenge — $2,500
Air Cannon — $2,500
Food Truck — $2,000

Each includes signage on site, your logo on slocumshootout.com and in the printed program, and a tee sign. The first three include a team of four.

These are four of many. Sponsorships run from a $175 tee sign on up, so if none of these are your size, something else will be.

If you played last year, you already know what this day is.

$1,000 puts your foursome on the first tee October 5 at Potowomut. That covers food and drinks on the course, the games, the raffle, and the after party.

The field doesn't stay open forever. Get your group in.

We could describe what Operation Stand Down Rhode Island does. It's better coming from them.

They're one of two beneficiaries of the Slocum Shootout. On October 5 at Potowomut, 100% of what Slocum Cares raises goes to them and to The Saint Elizabeth Community. Last year that was $13,500.

Two stops on the day where being good at golf doesn't matter.

The Air Cannon: launch your ball off the tee box and land on the green in one shot. Volunteers are there to help you line it up.

Clink 'n Sink: an attraction off the course — a putting green lined with liquor bottles. Sink the putt, the bottle goes home with you.

Both are still open to sponsor at $2,500, foursome included — and both are where the cameras end up.

October 5 at Potowomut.
