This season, we’re bringing you aboard Fearless LIVE.

The training. The races. The mistakes. The problem solving. The quiet moments offshore.

Raw. Unfiltered. Real.

For Phil, sailing is one way to live a fuller life with epilepsy while putting safety measures in place — and we hope these livestreams inspire others to take their own “one more step” toward living fully too.

Join us this season on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.

We received so many creative and deserving proposals that we had a hard time choosing only 10. Peyton, pictured here, is going to learn to play the violin. She shared with us:

"I’ve had a lot of challenges physically and mentally because of the seizures. I became very socially isolated out of fear of having a seizure in public but also just very depressed about my health situation.

I want to learn the violin because it is something I’ve always wanted to do. Violin has always brought me joy and it is time I do things that bring me joy. The thing about almost dying is it teaches you how to live and I’m really really really trying to live it to my full potential."

We are inspired by the courage of all of this year's recipients - welcome aboard!

Jordan, a 2025 OMS Grant recipient, has both epilepsy and autism. He set a goal to participate at the Ohio Star Ball Championships to dance a solo in the Cabaret category. We are so proud of Jordan's courage and perseverance while he lives a fuller life, despite his disabilities.

Meet Cindy, from Vancouver Canada, who was a recipient of a 2025 One More Step Grant! Her One More Step was to complete a progressive series of outdoor cycling challenges, culminating in long-distance rides to Stanley Park and along the UBC Seawall, using the scenic and historic Arbutus Greenway and Vancouver's bike-friendly routes.

If you want to take on a challenge of your own, but need some financial help to make that dream a reality, consider applying for a 2026 One More Step Grant: https://bit.ly/47m5wnM

Applications are due by May 8, 2026.

We are taught many basic life saving techniques starting in early childhood and I believe that seizure first aid should be on that list.

Learning what to do when someone is having a seizure could prevent serious injury or even worse, death. Read about some of the seizures I've had throughout my life with epilepsy and download seizure first aid materials in 19 languages: https://bit.ly/4tmhOqw

If more people were educated about epilepsy, seizures, and seizure first aid, the stigma surrounding epilepsy would be significantly decreased. Everyone should understand basic seizure first aid – you will likely need it at some point in your life. And by prioritizing compassion and curiosity over fear and prejudice, you may provide a person who is struggling with the support they need at a time when they need it most.
