After 24.5 hrs competing in the Ida Lewis Distance Race, the wind died and the current pushed us into an exclusion zone set up by race committee. It was too deep to anchor and we determined we could not cross the finish line before the time limit for the race. So we have dropped sails and are motoring back to shore.
All part of sailboat racing - and challenging yourself. Sometimes you don’t complete the goal but the important part is you try, you learn, and if needed, choose a different path.
We look forward to the next race!
