Canvassing the neighborhood with Governor Dan McKee his weekend when we came across East Providence resident and ALS United Rhode Island Executive Director Christina Vilardi.

It was delightful speaking with Christina and it took her no time at all to convince the governor to participate in the CEO Ice Bucket Challenge fundraiser.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this past Sunday and helped make Walk ALS RI such an incredible success! Whether you walked, volunteered, donated, sponsored, or cheered participants on, your support means so much to us.

Together, we’ve raised over $40,000 to support our mission and the individuals and families we serve. We are so grateful for your generosity, energy, and commitment to making a difference. 💙

And we’re not done yet! Fundraising continues throughout September, so there’s still time to help us reach our goals. If you haven’t had a chance to donate, or know someone who would like to contribute, we’d love your support!

Our favorite office mascot is modeling our new ALS Rhode Island dog bandanas, which will be available at Walk ALS Rhode Island.

Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join us for the walk, so don’t forget to bring your furry best friend along! Be sure to pack all of their essentials, including a water bowl, p**p bags, and anything else they’ll need for the day.
