PAINTING PEOPLE WITH KENNETH CALL

Saturday, October 17, 2026

Each day will begin with a demonstration and end with a critique and discussion. This workshop is appropriate for both beginners and experienced painters. The first day you will paint a subject of your choice, can be landscape, still life, people, or anything else. Then you will draw from one of Kenneth’s references of people. The second day Kenneth will review the previous painting and you will begin painting the new one based on his references of people.

This is a live, in-person workshop to be held at the Wayne Art Center

If you plan to submit artwork in the 126th International Exhibition of Works on Paper, remember to do so before the deadline of July 20th.

The show will be held from October 14 through November 14, 2026 at the Wayne Art Center.

Eligible media include watercolor, soft pastels, charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pen & ink, gouache, acrylic, and hand-pulled prints. All work must be original and on paper. Works also need to have been completed in the last three years.
