The Haven connection is a special & strong bond. Last night at the George H. Slick concert, so many students came out in support of Sophia Shao ‘27 to cheer her on, to perform with her, to accompany her, & to celebrate her many accomplishments. Haven junior, Sophia Shao ‘27 really AMAZED us at her George Slick recital tonight! Here she is performing Yankee Doodle in a way most of us had never heard before- WOW!! 🤩 🎻 .

Reminder about the George H. Slick recital coming up tomorrow, featuring Haven junior, Sophia Shao ‘27 on violin & piano. She is collaborating with several student musicians from SHHS & other local schools. Here is a sneak preview of Sophia’s exciting program, which includes solo piano & violin pieces, 6-hands piano trio, two violin concerto, string quintet, & violin concerto accompanied by a full orchestral ensemble. It is sure to be an incredibly beautiful night of music!! 🎻 🎹

SHMS/SHHS Jazz/Modern Bands were finally able to return to the DUTS scene yesterday after getting rained/smoked out the last 3 years! You got to see a preview of the SHMS/SHHS Modern Band program in yesterday’s posts. Now here we present the SHHS Jazz Quartet who opened SHMS/SHHS’ return to DUTS!! 🎶 🎷 🎷 🎹 🥁

Today ended up being the perfect weather for Dining Under The Stars so our SHMS/SHHS Jazz & Modern Bands could perform on State St. in Media after a 3-year hiatus. Here is one of the SHMS Modern Bands showing off their rock music stuff, even featuring a harmonica solo!! 🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁

After a rainy morning, the sun came out so that SHMS/SHHS Jazz/modern bands were able to return to Dining Under The Stars after a 3-year hiatus! Here is one of the SHHS Modern bands rockin’ out hard on State Street in Media!! 🎶 🎤 🎸 🥁

SHHS Jazz Quartet as well as SHMS & SHHS Modern Bands will be performing at DUTS in Media (in front of the Trader Joe's) TONIGHT, starting at 5:30PM. It's raining now but it's supposed to clear up by late afternoon. Come out & enjoy dinner al fresco while listening to the cool sounds by SHMS/SHHS jazz & modern band musicians!!

The weather reports say clearer skies are coming later today, so we’re hopeful for a beautiful evening at Dining Under the Stars! ☀️⭐️

Join us at the Rafferty Subaru Artistic Performance Space (in front of Trader Joe’s) for two sets of amazing live music tonight!

This evening’s lineup features talented students from the Strath Haven Jazz Ensemble and Modern Band and the Media-Providence Friends School! 🎶🎷🎺🎹🥁🎸

The music starts at 5:30pm -- come stroll, shop, dine and enjoy a wonderful night in downtown Media! 🙌

The last song of the night (and spring concert season) was by the NPE Select Choir at NPE's Spring Concert #2. Under the direction of Ms. Katie Troutman, here they are with a fantastic rendition of "I Can't Stand Still Under Those Raindrops" - love it!
