Small Wonders has joined with other local animal welfare nonprofit leaders to launch the NC Animal Welfare Alliance. We are a new nonprofit created to increase access to veterinary care to rural and underprivileged communities across central NC.

Over 100,000 cats and dogs are homeless in the Triangle.

Here's why:
🐱 Cat gestation: 63 days
🐱 Average litter: 4 kittens
🐱 Kittens can reproduce at 6 months old
🐱 Nursing mothers can get pregnant immediately

Unless cats are spayed or neutered, the cycle never ends, and shelters can't keep up. Spaying/neutering is the solution. It controls overpopulation, reduces euthanasia, and gives every cat a better chance at a loving home.
