We recently posted about Dixie losing her home and her family asked us to help find a foster, rescue, or adopter. It was impossible as every place is jam-packed. We have known Dixie for several years, untethered her, had her spayed, vetted, but no luck rehoming her. We had to do something to help this sweet girl while her mom tries to find a new place.

Thank you Kathy H for your donation in memory of your sweet boy Houlie. This wonderful girl was updated with vaccines and is currently boarding at Audrey's Barkyard. She is having the time of her life. Your donation in Houlie’s memory is truly a gift to sweet Dixie.

Following our incredible Friday helping so many dog & cats thanks to DEGA Mobile Veterinary Care, that was really just the beginning here. So very many cats and kittens everywhere in the neighborhood. Families just stopping by looking for help for their dogs & cats. A few extra were squeezed in and we are continuing following-up with the new families & pets and those we met previously. Three young mama cats are being spayed this week. And lots of other dogs & cats need our help with spay & neuter. We will partner for the cats and some dogs, and help the others.

And while all that was going on, so many other activities helping pets in need. The bottle feeder kittens were taken in by Susan- Paws for Life NC. One adorable kitten survived, tube feeding was need and the picture was the day after rescue & just overnight the improvement was tremendous. Thank you Susan! The kittens in the basket continue to grow and were vaccinated on Friday, and we will work with the family to spay once old enough (their mama too once kittens are weaned). And thrilled that pup Zeus survived parvo and now we are helping 2 other sweet adorable puppies that are fighting parvo. The need is tremendous, and thank you recent donors - Piotr, Chris, Theresa, Kathy R & Robin. Your donations were used towards vetting costs for several sick pets and 2 healthy puppies who were vaccinated last week to prevent deadly parvo. So grateful to all.🐾

A few more pictures of the pups and kitties that were so luck to get much needed veterinary care and lots of extra needed supplies. A whopping 21 dogs & 15 cats and kittens - 36 total. 🤩

Poppy is a 6 mo chihuahua. The only family she knew lost their home, and they had to give up Poppy. Sweet baby Poppy is urgently searching for a new home. She is very temporarily back with her mom Pip, but sadly cannot stay here.

We met Pip when Poppy was born and she suffered a pr*****ed uterus after giving birth. We helped her at that time and helped with spay. Now we are trying to help her sweet look-a-like baby Poppy.

Foster, rescue, or adopter needed (family requires vet references & wants to be sure she’s an indoor pup).

We wanted to take a moment to thank every single person supporting us and most importantly the dogs and cats we help. Donors, partners, grantors, supporters, volunteers…..we absolutely could not do it without all of you! 🐾

Every single day multiple phone calls come in for help. Some extremely urgent, really a matter of life and death. Other requests for sick pets that need help to alleviate terrible pain and suffering. We get phone calls with families begging for help for their beloved pets. We see graphic pictures, and in the community we see first-hand how great the need is. Seeing tether dogs, dogs without even the basics is absolutely heartbreaking to us. We share just a snap-shot of what we see and do, and focus on the positive and all the good we are able to do thanks to all of you. So very grateful to all of you . 💗

A couple pictures from outreach today.

Our visits are so very critical for the pups & kitties in the community, and their families. All need so much help, in so many different ways. Education for the families, help with spay & neuter, flea & tick prevention, cedar shaving to help with fleas & other bugs, fly off, antibiotic ointment, dewormer, vaccines, water buckets, elevated dog beds, light weight tethers, dog food, and the list goes on and on.

As part of our mission, our goal is to improve the lives of outdoor dogs and dogs in need. And we make every effort to help. We try to help the kitties too, if possible, especially with spay & neuter. In the next month, we will be visiting many communities and try to bring needed supplies, but it’s never enough. And we will bring some fun things too….toys and treats which the pups love. The need is so great everywhere we go. This month we will use donations from our monthly donors to help with the outreach supplies. For those believing in what we do, we need your help to continue helping the pups in need. Thank you so much & we appreciate all of you!🐾🐾
