Unfortunately, we are working against a system that is violent and oppressive towards LGBTQIA+ people, which means digging into community care and mutual aid is more important than ever. If you’re an ally, we encourage you this month to reflect on the privileges provided by your identity and the ways you can support the q***r people in your life and community. Since we started our pet food pantry in March 2026, we have donated over 2,300 lbs of kibble and 400+ cans of wet food to help families and their pets. We couldn’t do any of this without your support!

Our partner told us that people are universally grateful for pet food and are often times more excited about getting food for their pets than for themselves.

There are a lot of amazing animal rescues in North Carolina doing very important work, but there are still gaps. We saw an unmet need in our community and here’s what we’re doing to help:

Instead of pulling animals from shelters, we’re going to foster pets for people who need temporary support and hope to bring their pet back home.

Our foster program is different. Our foster pets won’t be available for adoption unless reunification with their family is no longer possible.

First community event in the books!

4/26 K9 Spring Fling at 12:00pm - 6:00pm
We will have live pet painting by and a raffle with all proceeds supporting our programs.

5/2 Cary Dog Daze at 10:00am - 3:00pm
Come say hi, grab some stickers and enter our raffle to win a basket of cool pet stuff from local small businesses.

6/26 Paint Your Pet fundraiser at 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Sign up for our pet painting workshop by with a portion of ticket sales being donated to support our programs.
