If God is glorified, we are satisfied.

Every Tuesday, the CHM staff meets to discuss ongoing operations, what's on the agenda next, and how each can serve in their particular role to best serve the whole. Much like the church, each member has a unique gift to offer the team.

Lately, our 2026 Lights in a Dark World banquet has been taking priority, on top of the daily operations of the rehab, and we ask for your prayers for our small team as we press forward to rescue men out of addiction for life. Each meeting closes in prayer, usually focusing on the hearts of the men currently in our program, and then on the men and families who desperately need to find our ministry.

We pray for many things for the night of November 10th, including financially willing and able givers with hearts to join our mission, but our Executive Director, Doug Lovette, does an incredible job leading our team with the most important things at the forefront. Above anything else, we pray God is glorified in our mission and our striving.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them" - Ephesians 2:10

We hope you can join us in person for this year's Lights in a Dark World banquet, but if you can't, you can still join us in support and prayer.

Registration is now open to the public! 🚨

We are about 1 month away from our end-of-the-year banquet, and we are so excited to come together in person to celebrate sobriety, hear what the Lord has providentially done in our ministry over the last year, and gather support for those who truly need us most!

As non-profits rely solely on the support from the community to operate day in and day out, we can’t stress enough our need and gratitude for those who help us keep our doors open!

We humbly ask for your prayer, encouragement, and support as we press on to rescue others from addiction.

This is a night you won't want to miss, so scan the QR code or click the link below to reserve your seats!

What brings a man to Converting Hearts for help?

It's always a struggle to encompass a man's whole life story and future trajectory in a time short enough for the public to digest, but we do our best to give you the broad view, placing emphasis on how great our God is. One thing always remains true: the main character of every testimony is the Lord. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

Danny Aguirre found CHM at his lowest, came into a transforming relationship with Christ, and is still fighting to stay the course, not only in sobriety, but also in living a life ambitious to be pleasing to Christ.

We are so thankful for Danny and the men who continue striving! What an encouragement they are to the leadership and staff here at CHM, but also to the community praying, volunteering, and giving of their treasure to be on mission alongside us.

We rejoice in every single converted heart, and we continue rejoicing and encouraging one another in the truth.

"But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end" - Hebrews 3:13-14

As we gear up for our annual 2026 Lights in a Dark World Banquet, we've been sharing glimpses of last year’s highlights, and Danny's testimony sure is a highlight.

We also want to remind all our table captains to continue to fill your tables with those you know are meant to attend this year!

Happy birthday to our executive director, Doug Lovette!

If only the community could see the love and service he pours out daily for the men of CHM, their families, and our community.

We are so thankful for his servant leadership and an unwavering dedication to the truth!

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”
- Romans 10:14

Doug operates far beyond the role of a teacher here at CHM, but his heart is to teach the Bible, and we are so very grateful for that.

Thank you for discipling for Christ!!

Together, we can continue making an eternal impact, but not without help. Your generosity helps house, feed, and support a man out of addiction and onto a brand new path. Your gift might just purchase a Bible that forever alters a man's life.

"Parents need to be aware of the fact that the drug dealer is at the v**e shop" - Doug Lovette

As we gear up for our annual Lights in a Dark World Banquet, let’s take a look at a few highlights from last year.

Do you know what "Gas Station He**in" is?

Do you know what Kratom is?

What about 7-OH?

All of these legal substances are easily purchased at the v**e shop and marketed as a "health & wellness supplement", but shockingly up to 46 times stronger than morphine.

We're here to tell you the truth!
