Jemmie serves as one of our Case Managers and Peer Recovery Support Specialists at our Wagoner Office, working alongside our clients as they navigate recovery, overcome barriers, and work toward building healthier futures. We are so thankful for the heart and dedication she brings to the people we serve!

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives behind the numbers. 💜

In 2025, approximately 70,000 people in the United States died from a drug overdose. Every one of those numbers represents a person — a child, parent, sibling, spouse, friend, coworker, or neighbor who was loved, valued, and is deeply missed.

At WRAP Project, we believe remembrance must also lead to action. We honor those we have lost by continuing to fight stigma, support individuals and families impacted by substance use, connect people to treatment and recovery resources, provide prevention education, and remind our communities that recovery is possible.

Today, we remember without judgment. We speak their names. We support those still fighting. And we continue working toward a future where fewer families experience the heartbreak of overdose.

💜 Honor. Remember. Act.

What a meaningful morning in Wagoner. 💜

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Overdose Awareness Memory Mile Walk today. Seeing our community come together to remember those we have lost, honor the families who carry their memory, support those still fighting, and celebrate recovery was incredibly powerful.

Every person who walked, shared a story, wore purple, provided resources, volunteered, or simply showed up helped remind others that they are not alone.

Today wasn’t just about raising awareness. It was about remembering lives, supporting families, breaking the stigma, and continuing to bring hope to our community.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped make today special. Please take a moment to look through the pictures from this morning and remember why we continue to do this work.
