🧡 MADE WITH LOVE — FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS
If you've ever wondered where our Honored Warriors' blankets come from, these photos tell part of the story.
For almost a decade, a group of girls has grown up alongside this Princess Warrior tradition.
Tammy Kircher shared the story behind it — and honestly, we couldn't tell it any better than she did. 🧡

For almost 10 years, these blankets have been so much more than pieces of fleece tied together. ❤️ They have become a tradition — and some of our favorite memories.
What started as a fun project with just a few kids eventually grew into a whole team of amazing young ladies. Each year, our family — including cousins, friends and eventually our girls' volleyball team — would come together to make tie blankets for children battling cancer who were being honored by the Princess Warrior Foundation.
One of our favorite parts was picking out the fabric for each child. We tried to find colors, characters, sports and designs that matched their personality and the things they loved. We would get so excited when we finally found that perfect fabric we'd been searching for.
Most of our fabric was found at Ben Franklin, which later became Hometown Crafts & Fabrics in Wadena, and other local fabric stores.
As the girls got older, blanket night became a special time of year. After volleyball practice, the team would come over and, for one evening, put everything else aside. We'd turn on music, laugh, visit and tie blankets for someone who might be a stranger — or might be their friend or classmate.
Later, we asked Greiman's Printing to add the finishing touch: the Princess Warrior logo in the corner.
And now, this tradition feels a little bittersweet.
With our families' youngest girls graduating this year, this will be the last time this crew of young ladies will be donating their time to this specific project. We hope, though, that the tradition will somehow be carried on.
Our hope has always been that these blankets bring a little warmth and comfort to a child spending time in a hospital bed — knowing that this blanket was made just for them.
That their community cares about them.
That so many people are thinking about them, supporting them and praying for them. ❤️
