Veterans Park, Wadena MN Wadena County’s Veterans Park is a local non-profit organization comprised of veteran and non-veteran volunteers.

Wadena Veterans Park is a place of honor, remembrance, and gratitude—created to pay tribute to the more than 4,000 veterans laid to rest in and around Wadena County and to celebrate their courage, sacrifice, and service.

After Action Report Mid-July 2026 -Road construction continues but the park is still accessible from the north end of Harry Rich Drive. The new informational signs have been installed for the M211 2.5 ton truck and the M48A5 tank. A new Purple Heart display is set up inside the museum for PFC James Anthony "Tony" Koch. What a wonderful way to celebrate community, creativity, and support for our veterans! A heartfelt thank-you to Hometown Crafts & Fabrics and everyone who took part in the Red, White, and Blue Block Challenge to help create the beautiful 250th year celebration quilt. The quilt was auctioned on stage during intermission at the concert during June Jubilee on Saturday, June 13, with proceeds benefiting Wadena Veterans Park.
We are especially grateful to Chad Uselman, the winning bidder at $1,050. Your generous support will help make future improvements to Veterans Park and Museum possible!

Congratulations to the Wadena American Legion Post 171 raffle ticket winners!

Post 171 members gathered on Saturday at the Wadena VFW Post 3922 to draw the winning tickets. It was a wonderful event celebrating a successful fundraiser and strong community support.

Proceeds from the raffle directly support important programs, including college scholarships, American Legion Boys State, American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, Service Dogs for Veterans, and more.

Raffle Winners:

2nd Prize ($250): Deanna Waldroff – Wadena
3rd Prize ($100): Tanya Ashbaugh – Hewitt
