🍀💚We are excited to highlight all the 4-Hers who sent projects to the New York State Fair! We are so proud of your hard work, skill and dedication. 💚🍀
We will not find out your placings until the fair ends but no matter what happens our 4-Hers are very cool kids who make very cool stuff! 👏
Please note there are two projects not pictured. Suneva’s cat tree is to the right of the projects on the steps and Cece’s chicken poster is just above the top right of the picture with all the photography projects.

The fair may be over, but it’s never too early to start preparing for next year! It is always a good time to practice and learn new skills like cake decorating with this workshop from Elkhart County 4-H in Indiana!🍰

As families start preparing for a new school year, it's a great time to think about joining 4-H or getting involved in upcoming programs. Youth of all interests can find a place to grow, lead, and belong.
Stay tuned to our page for fall program updates, enrollment information, and exciting opportunities ahead. We can't wait to see what this new season brings!🍀

Did You Know?
Over 2,500 youth participate in 4-H events at the State Fair every year, making it one of the largest youth-focused features of the fair. The New York State Fair is also one of the oldest state fairs in the United States, and 4-H has been involved since the early 1900s — nearly since the beginning of the 4-H program itself!🍀

Today is National Women’s Equality Day and in honor of the day we would like to highlight one of the many trailblazing 4-H women. Gertrude L. Warren is credited of being the “mother of 4-H.” Gertrude served as the first National leader of the 4-H program. A native New Yorker she championed the “learn by doing” framework we still use today!
