You can be an integral part of the Virginia Beach Public Library’s future. FAQ’s
Is the foundation necessary when the library is funded with taxpayer dollars?

For questions about giving opportunities, please contact our Development Specialist at [email protected] The Virginia Beach Library Foundation is a certified 501c3 public nonprofit whose mission is to secure, manage and invest private raised funds, gifts and bequests in support of Virginia Beach Public Library. Donations are used to fund special projects, materials, and programs benefiting the community that the library could not otherwise afford through its annual city operating budget. While the city has been and is most supportive, public funding is not sufficient to enable the library to keep pace with the needs and demands of a 21st century library. Support for new programs, technology upgrades, expanding collections, and building an endowment will ensure the future of the library system.

The Virginia Beach Library Foundation was lucky to be one of the recipients of the Virginia Humanities Grant giving us the opportunity to fund our Zine Fest for this upcoming spring at Bayside Library!

We loved networking and listening to the other recipients projects and can’t wait to see them come to fruition for our area.

Thank you again for your generosity!
