🚑 NEW AIC ALERT! 🚑
Join us in congratulating Chris on his release as an Attendant-in-Charge.

Chris joined EMS because he used to support his Navy command Emergency Medical Team and since retired, wanted to get back into it. He chose Rescue 5 because it is close to where he lives and he liked how we worked together. In his free time, he is an avid motorcycle rider. We look forward to working with you on the streets and congratulations on this amazing achievement.

We invite our community to join us in showing appreciation. Please leave a message of thanks or gratitude for our volunteers in the comment

As we continue EMS Week, Today is Children's Day!

We participate in local school's Career Day where kids can see what different careers they could do when they grow up. Teaching and watching their faces glow when they see a piece of equipment that is so cool is amazing.

As we continue EMS Week, Today is Safety Day!

Safety on scene is the #1 priority for every provider. Each unit has reflective vests and ballistic vests to protect us on specific calls. Virginia also has a specific law known as the MOVE OVER law. This law means that when an emergency vehicle is on scene in a road to move over one lane when able or slow down to a safe speed to ensure the first responder's safety.
