Hoosier Hills Quilts For Kids

Hoosier Hills Quilts For Kids We are the Indiana Chapter of the National Quilts for Kids organization. This Indiana chapter is located in Ripley County Indiana near Versailles.

Our quilts have been delivered to many hospitals in the tristate - Cincinnati Childrens, Norton Childrens, Riley Childrens, Peyton Manning and Lutheran Children's Hospitals. It is only through donations of time and fabric that we are able to fulfill our mission to transform fabrics into quilts that comfort children in need. We will welcome a volunteer from anywhere in Indiana or out of our state.

I stopped by the Quilters The Quilter's Nook, Inc. yesterday and there was a surprise delivery.

Oma Jean has been busy! I have never met her, but I hear she is 96 years old, lives in West Virginia and sews on quilt tops every day. Her great granddaughter lives in the area and drops off the tops that she picks up from her.

Yesterday's pick up was 72 quilt tops! These are much appreciated These will be dropped off in the morning at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital -- with all of the other beautiful quilts that all of the other talented quilters have donated

A big THANK YOU to JoAnn Disbro, Terri Libby, Dawn Bustle and Karen Eash. The quilts are beautiful and they will make some little ones smile

I want to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to the ladies at St John’s in Napoleon. I met up with Martha Perez, Mary Borgman and Mary Jane Kurtz and accepted their donation of 72 quilts!

I will be taking these and other donated quilts to children’s Hospital very soon

April's sew day is in the books! Thank you to all. It was nice to have Dawn sewing and appreciate the quilts that she dropped off. Thank you to Terri Libby for her time and talent working on them. It was good to see Mary Ann - thank you so much for the quilts that you dropped off as well.

The first delivery of 2026 is complete!

91 completed quilts and 46 quilt tops were dropped off at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital

They said they love getting the quilts and enjoy going through them when a delivery is made

Thank you all for your continued support! A lot of little ones will have a quilt to cuddle with because of your generosity

March is over.. and the sew day is complete. I was surprised with a stack of quilts that Arlene Knudson and Barb Eades made. They are all just wonderful.

Then Dawn Bustle stopped in with an armful of quilts that she completed with Jo Ann Disbro.

February's sew day was a good day. Thanks to Dawn for spending the day sewing -- and for the beautiful quilts she brought in that she made with Jo Ann Disbro. Each one is great

It was good to see Thelma -- and she came with arm full of quilts. She has been busy sewing some awesome quilts. Thank you lady!!

Also a big thanks to Rose Bicicchi who mailed in some adorable quilt tops. Thanks to Oma Jean. She's 96 years old and still sewing - she sent a box of quilt tops from West Virginia
