After 2 years of absence from the park with AYOU due to CV19 and a catastrophic flood, 2023 planning is underway. We are RETURNING to YNP this summer. Summer can't get here fast enough in what is sure to be a breath of freedom since we last made the trek.

The most rewarding part of a program like this is to watch as these young people grow into adults. This year's trip will be mentored by a former recipient who joined us in the first year AYOU was formed. Now 13 summers later, he will return to share the magic of the GYE.

While AYOU is suspended for 2020 due to covid, the animals and YNP await our 2021 return.

Due to the ongoing concerns with COVID 19, and the uncertainty it has bought to the community, schools, and travel industry. AYOU is taking steps to suspend the 2020 trip.

We don't take this decision lightly, but in times like these a decision must be made in the best interest of the kids and the future of the program. Additionally we will suspend fundraising efforts to allow those monies to be made more available in local communities hit the hardest by this event.

Our goal is to remain committed to the safety and well being of the kids, the program, and the community organizations who have always supported AYOU. All donations to AYOU Inc. will be used to ONLY the fund future summer trips to Yellowstone for our Ripley County kids! At this time we will plan a 2021 trip and move ahead as time allows.

While we realize there are many unknowns at this time, rest assured, our program is strong! AYOU Inc. resources have always been secured for the kids selected to represent our county. Please pray for our county, state, and country during this time. Updates will appear on this page as needed.

Our Story

AYOU Inc. is a 501c(3) non-profit outreach program specifically focused on the communities and students in Ripley County, IN. Each summer for the past 10 years AYOU Inc. has raised local funding, used local capahrones, and selected local students to travel into Yellowstone National Park.

Alongside these local pillars and values we have met many friends along the way from neighboring communities and states. They too have seen our mission first-hand and support our local work as their love and passion for Yellowstone is passed onto our students. At the root of what we believe in and value is our commitment to remain true to our supporters by giving this opportunity to the local kids. To date we have been honored to offer this amazing trip to 43 students all from Ripley County schools. (Milan, South Ripley, and Jac-Cen-Del)

We are proud to be THE original organizers of such an awesome experience. While opportunities have sought to allow us to branch beyond our small community AYOU Inc. has remained steadfast in its to commitment local monies for local students. Our students all have wonderful stories to share about their Yellowstone experiences. They are grateful beyond measure and, small as we may be, our community has supported us from day one!
