Start Being Heard (Without Raising Your Voice): Conscious Communication

Session description:
This session explores the idea that your communication is a direct reflection of the relationship you have with yourself. The ability to show up authentically, master your own emotions and understand the emotions of others is the “secret weapon” that elevates a good leader to a truly respected and impactful one. By becoming more aware – or conscious - your communication can become the most powerful tool you have to build connection and trust…in leadership and in life.

Speaker bio:
With two decades of experience in leadership and communication spanning newsrooms, science writing, corporate communications and public service, Carin brings a uniquely grounded yet visionary lens to the way we speak and lead. She currently serves as Communications Director and leadership team member for the St. Lucie County Tax Collector’s Office, where she guides internal culture and external messaging with intention and empathy. As The Conscious Communication Coach™, Carin now teaches leaders how to discover the self-awareness tools that turn conflict into understanding, ego into empathy and communication into their most powerful leadership skill.

This webinar will provide a factual, nonpartisan overview of the proposed constitutional amendment to increase Florida’s homestead exemption to $250,000, its estimated impact on Florida’s nonprofit sector, and what organizations can do to educate voters before Election Day.
