The Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside members have begun their Josh the Otter presentations for the 2026. The Josh the Otter program is a Water Safety & Awareness Project whose goal is to educate children with a delightful story about Josh learning to float and swim. Within the next 6 weeks, 15 other area preschools will hear the simple message: TO STAY AWAY FROM WATER UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. For over 14 years, the Oceanside club members have volunteered to make presentations to the area preschool children about this important safety message.

The Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside celebrated their Holiday Party last evening. Our “Rotary Family“ broke bread, enjoyed fellowship, and exchanged gifts in our own special way among the members, spouses and guests at the beautiful home of member, Gini Elliott and husband, Bill.

The ducks are ready to race, and they're waiting for you!

Adopt your duck for just $5 and you could be the lucky winner of a $1,000 grand prize. It’s a small price to pay for a chance at a big reward—all for a great cause. 80% of all proceeds benefit the building fund for TCCH’s state-of-the-art Pediatric Center, with the remaining 20% going to local and international programs sponsored by the Rotary Club of VB Oceanside. Sponsor your duck at www.Duckrace.com/verobeach.

Where is the entry number? Is this the winning duck for The Great Duck Derby event at Capt’n Hiram’s on November 2nd?? I heard there are 3 big cash prizes for the winners!!

C’mon, Mom! I know you entered into the Corporate Duck derby, cuz you want a chance to win $1,000 too…

I guess I’ll have to go to www.duckrace.com/verobeach to see their FAQs. Maybe I’ll use my allowance to adopt another duck while I’m there. You gotta pay to play, but I can afford $5! How about you?
