November is here!!!

11/03/2026

It’s transition time at the Civic Council. We might be in the fall season, but we are really gearing up for Christmas. This means we have a big selection of home goods, fall items, warm clothing, and hold onto your hats - Christmas items. There’s definitely something for everybody so stop in and see what has your name on it. Once again, thanks for shopping at the Civ!

Downtown Vermillion was filled with excitement and trick-or-treaters on Friday night. The Civic Council was proud to be part of a community event hosting kids with colorful costumes and parents who were having just as much fun as the kids. We gave away over 600 pieces of candy and finally had to fold up our tent. Thanks to Jimmy Johns for their support and the VCDC and all the wonderful volunteers who pulled this event together. Happy Halloween!

10/30/2026

Hello hello our spooky pals! Today and tomorrow all Halloween is FREE!!!! Come to the Civ and get some cool costumes for zero dollars!!!

10/29/2026

We know it’s still October! But why not get a jump on your Christmas cards???

10/27/2026

Don’t forget! Halloween stuff is 75% off all week!

10/27/2026

Just because all of the Halloween merchandise in the store is 75% off this week doesn’t mean there isn’t even more cool stuff to shop for. There are lots of pretty Thanksgiving items for your holiday gathering and some nice warm clothes now that the weather is getting cooler. Hold onto your hats, and we have some of those too, the Christmas decorations are starting to make their way out of the storeroom. Every few days you’ll find more and more great stuff to decorate with. Stay tuned and thanks for your support of the Vermillion Civic Council.

10/19/2026

In preparation for Big Halloween 50% off sales this week, we’ve moved a lot of Halloween merch from the middle room to the front of the store plus we still have a lot of kid costumes available. Check out our front windows to see a few “big people” costumes that are available.
Don’t forget about the winter coats that are coming out plus other sweaters and good things to stay warm with as the weather changes.
Remember that when you donate items to the store and shop, you are giving back to the community. The Civic Council has been organized since 1923 so be proud of being a supporter of a long lasting organization . Thank you - thank you - thank you!
(Christmas is coming soon!)
