🏆 TWENTY YEARS of keeping Van Buren beautiful! 💚

Keep Van Buren Beautiful has been awarded Keep America Beautiful’s 2026 President’s Circle Award—marking our 20th year receiving this honor!

This milestone belongs to the people who make our work possible: our volunteers, board members, community partners, local businesses, and neighbors who show up, pitch in, and take pride in Van Buren.

Whether you’ve picked up litter, supported a cleanup, planted something beautiful, or helped us spread the word, you are part of this celebration. 🌱

Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the past 20 years. Together, we’re carrying that care for our community into the future!

❤️ **A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING SPONSORS!** ❤️

Our Trash to Treasure Community Cleanup & 20-Year Celebration last Saturday was a HUGE success, and we couldn't have done it without the generosity and support of our wonderful community partners!

🌭 **Citizens Bank** – For providing the hot dogs that fed our hungry crowd!

🔥 **Rhodes Chevrolet** – For sponsoring the grill that kept those hot dogs cooking!

☕ **Chapters on Main** – For providing delicious coffee to start our morning!

🍩 **Smith's Donuts in Alma** – For donating 60 delicious donuts!

🥔 **Walmart** – For providing chips to go with our lunch!

🌱 **C. King Tropicals** – For bringing plants, cuttings, and a little extra GREEN to our celebration!

And a special thank you to our **JROTC volunteers, KVBB board members (and spouses), and everyone who gave their time and energy** to make this event possible!

Together, we filled FOUR giant dumpsters, welcomed 67 vehicle loads of items, rescued reusable treasures from the landfill, served 100 hot dogs, shared plants, watched kids play, and celebrated 20 years of Keep Van Buren Beautiful!

💚 **This is what community looks like!**

Our sponsors didn't just help us host a cleanup. They helped us turn a community service into a community CELEBRATION!

Thank you for investing in our community and helping us keep Van Buren beautiful. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!

💚 WOW, VAN BUREN!!! YOU SHOWED UP, AND YOU SHOWED OUT!!! 💚

Today was SO MUCH MORE than a community cleanup. It was a celebration of community, generosity, friendship, and 20 years of Keep Van Buren Beautiful! 🎉

And what an AMAZING day it was!

♻️ Truckloads of unwanted items were kept out of the landfill, and so many things found NEW HOMES with people who needed or wanted them! One person’s trash truly became another person’s treasure!

🌭 We served 100 hot dogs!

🍩 60 donuts disappeared, along with plenty of coffee, hot cocoa, apple c***r, and water!

🏰 Kids bounced and played ALL DAY!

🌱 Plants and cuttings were exchanged, and new friendships were made!

❤️ And everywhere we looked, PEOPLE WERE SMILING!

But here’s what made today truly special…

Not only was this a service to our residents providing a free opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and trash. This was our COMMUNITY coming together.

Neighbors helping neighbors. Volunteers working side by side. People sharing what they had, finding things they needed, laughing, visiting, and making memories.

And THAT is what Keep Van Buren Beautiful is all about. It’s not just about picking up litter or keeping things out of the landfill. It’s about building a community that cares — about our city, our environment, and EACH OTHER. 💚

To every volunteer who gave their time, every business and organization that contributed, every partner who helped make today possible, and every single person who showed up — THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

You made our 20-year celebration something truly worth celebrating.

Today, we didn’t just clean up Van Buren. We celebrated everything that makes it a wonderful place to call home.

And we can’t wait to do it again! 💚♻️
