The Van Buren Rotary Club had a wonderful time at the joint meeting with the Van Buren Lions Club and Women's League of Van Buren - GFWC. We got to hear from Maj Cole Kingsbery with the 57th Fighter Squadron from Ebbing ANGR, about what's happening over the River. We learned about planes, pilot training process, and the influx of foreign pilots to come. Thank you to Maj Cole Kingsbery for coming out and spending your lunch with us.

Tomorrow is the big day! The Clash in the Valley, JEEP vs. BRONCO. Rain or shine, we will be out! Bring your umbrellas ☂️ and ponchos and come enjoy a day of fun and help give back to those in need.

Come out and see all the vehicles, eat some food, and win some prizes. You'll have the opportunity to cast a vote for your favorite vehicles and help them win a prize at the end of the night. T-shirts will be available to purchase.

If you did not pre-register your vehicle, no worries, you can register tomorrow!

We are honored to recognize Vanessa Caldwell - May 2026 Amazing Ambassador!
Vanessa is the Regional Outreach Coordinator for Department of Commerce-- Arkansas Workforce Connections. She has worked there for 13 years, in various roles helping jobseekers, employers, and various agencies in the western region to connect them with training and employment opportunities. She performs outreach to provide awareness about the partners located in the Fort Smith Workforce Center, and programs and services we offer at Arkansas Workforce Connections. The Fort Smith Workforce Center has: Unemployment Services, Employment Services, Adult Education, Western Arkansas Planning & Development District ( WAPDD), Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, Veteran Services, Services of the Blind, and AARP all partnering together to provide services to everyone in the western region. She is a member of the Western Arkansas Workforce Development Board, leader of the Business Services Team for Workforce Connections, and a member of the Van Buren Rotary Club. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching basketball.
