Thank you to Wild Adventures for inviting The Haven to their Annual Health, Benefits, and Banking Fair! We had a lot of fun sharing our resources and telling our story. We believe the more the community knows about our services, the more people we can help.

Thank you again, Wild Adventures! We can't wait to do it again next year!

Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, more than 60 children started the school year with the supplies they needed to succeed.

Through our annual Back-to-School Drive, we provided fully stocked backpacks to children served by The Haven, LAMP, Raintree Village, and the Methodist Home, as well as the children of our clients. Each backpack was filled with essential school supplies to help students walk into the new school year prepared and confident.

As we begin collecting supplies for this year's drive, we're reminded that every notebook, pencil, folder, and backpack makes a difference. Thank you to everyone who helped make last year's program a success. We look forward to helping even more children this year!

Don't forget about our Back-To-School Drive! We are currently seeking additional community partners and collection sites to help us gather school supplies for our Back-to-School Drive. We will be collecting supplies all summer long at 9am-5pm at 1805 Plum St. Coming soon, we will have a full list of our drop-off locations.

These supplies go so much further than just our clients; they go to children in need in our community. These supplies benefit children from LAMP, Raintree Village Group Home, Methodist Group Home, and the children of our clients!

Please contact Laila at 229-563-0667 or email [email protected] for any questions!

This week, we celebrated the incredible staff who serve our Sexual Assault Center and Domestic Violence Shelter. Every day, they stand beside survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, strangulation, and other forms of violence and trauma.

This work is not easy. It requires compassion, strength, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to helping others during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. The emotional weight of this work can be heavy, yet our staff continue to show up with dedication, empathy, and hope.

Employee Appreciation Week is an opportunity to pause and recognize the extraordinary impact they make in our community. Their advocacy, support, and care help survivors find safety, healing, and a path forward.

To our staff: thank you for your tireless efforts, your compassion, and your commitment to serving others. We are grateful for everything you do, and we are proud to celebrate you this week and every week.

๐Ÿ’œ Your work changes lives. ๐Ÿ’œ

Breaking Silence: The Haven Real Talk
Will be covering a podcast from Dallas!

The new TAKE IT DOWN Act is a major step forward for survivors of sexual assault, exploitation, and online abuse. This federal law strengthens protections against the nonconsensual sharing of intimate images (including AI-generated deepfakes and revenge p**n) and now requires covered online platforms to remove reported content within 48 hours!

For many survivors, digital victimization does not end when the abuse stops. The emotional trauma, fear, humiliation, and ongoing harm caused by the spread of intimate images online can be devastating. This law gives survivors more power, more protection, and a clearer path to reclaiming their privacy and dignity.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual exploitation or image-based abuse, you are not alone. Help and support are available.
