Helping your baby sleep safely starts with the basics. 🍼💤

Our nurses are leading the way by demonstrating the simple steps every parent and caregiver should know—because safe sleep saves lives. 💙

Remember the ABCs of safe sleep:
✨ Alone – Baby sleeps in their own space
✨ Back – Always on their back, for every nap and every night
✨ Crib – On a firm, flat surface with no loose items

At SGMC Health, in partnership with Cribs for Kids® National Infant Safe Sleep Initiative, we’re committed to educating and supporting families from day one—so every baby has a safe place to rest.

Excellence in Action 🚑💙

SGMC Health Emergency Services has been named Region 8 EMS Service of the Year, recognizing a team that goes above and beyond in patient care, professionalism, and service to our community.

From covering the largest service area in Georgia to advancing lifesaving initiatives—like prehospital blood transfusions and enhanced pediatric transport safety—this team continues to advance emergency care across South Georgia.

In addition to this service-wide honor, AEMT Scott Roberts was named Region 8 Medic of the Year, and Emily Brown, Director of EMS and Trauma, was recognized as Service Director of the Year.

Join us in celebrating these incredible achievements and the dedicated professionals behind them. 👏

Happy Revenue Integrity Week! 💼🎉
This week recognizes the team working behind the scenes to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of the care we provide.

At SGMC Health, our Revenue Integrity team plays a vital role in connecting clinical care to the financial health of our organization—partnering with departments, supporting compliant billing, and ensuring every detail of care is accurately captured.

From charge capture to coding compliance and denial prevention, their work strengthens processes, protects our organization, and reflects the true value of the care we deliver every day.

Thank you for your dedication to excellence and the impact you make across our system. 👏💙

In a recent national study, 93% of people said they support organ donation but only 53% were actually registered.

Organ, eye, and tissue donation has the power to save lives, but it only happens when someone makes their decision known.

Through our partnership with LifeLink of Georgia 🤝, SGMC Health is helping bring clarity to how donation works—because understanding the process helps more people make informed decisions. ❤️‍🩹

In this conversation, LifeLink Public Affairs Specialist Courtney Proctor shares what’s possible: one organ & tissue donor can save 8 lives and improve dozens more.

If you support organ donation, registering ensures your wishes are clear and gives others the chance at life. Georgians can register through the Donate Life Georgia registry, when renewing a driver’s license, or locally through their MyChart patient portal.

Prepared communities can save lives. ❤️

Worldwide Ministries of Christ and Dawson Street Methodist Church in Thomasville are taking important steps toward becoming HeartReady! 🎉 Their teams received AEDs and completed hands-on, lifesaving training, ensuring they’re ready to respond when it matters most.

Through SGMC Health’s HeartReady Community initiative, we partner with churches, schools, first responders, and local organizations to empower more people to act during cardiac emergencies—because CPR and an AED can double or even triple survival rates. 🚑

Thank you to our partners at Thomasville Fire Rescue for providing the training for these groups. 👏

Now, let’s work together to get your organization HeartReady. Follow the link in the comments to get started.
