Lowndes Middle School PTO This group is for all involved with the Lowndes Middle Parent Teacher Organization. It is merely a tool for parents to use who are involved in our PTO.

Lowndes Middle School PTO is organized for the purpose of enhancing the quality of our children’s education, Lowndes Middle School, and community through development of private resources and participation of parents, staff, and community. We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. This is not the forum to complain about the school board, the district, teachers, other parents, Covid, or anything else. The members running this group are fellow parents of Lowndes Middle students, and are unpaid volunteers. Admin Rights- This group is purely for PTO communications and inquiries. We reserve the right to deny or remove any accounts that appear fake/malicious. We reserve the right to report and remove members that do not follow our page standards.

LMS and Team 61 are thrilled to celebrate Phoebe Jax for being selected as the Lowndes County Schools Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition winner for 6th grade! 🏆✍️ Her talent, creativity, and dedication to writing have earned her this incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Way to go, Phoebe! Keep shining and sharing your amazing voice with the world!

Lowndes County Schools proudly announces that Al Swilley will serve as Lowndes Middle School's principal beginning in the 2025-2026 school year!

Al Swilley, a lifelong resident of Lowndes County, Georgia, has dedicated over 25 years to education. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education from Valdosta State University in 2000 and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership in 2006, achieving a 4.0 GPA.

Throughout his career, Mr. Swilley has made a significant impact on students' lives. He taught English Language Arts and Math and served as Academic Coach at Valdosta Middle School for 14 years, during which he was honored to be voted school Teacher of the Year. Following this role, he served as the assistant principal at Sallas Mahone Elementary for four years before taking on the position of principal at Pine Grove Elementary, where he has proudly served for the last seven years.

Mr. Swilley credits his success to his faith in God and the mentorship of great leaders. Supporting teachers has always been central to his beliefs, and he feels fortunate to have worked alongside outstanding educators at PGES and in Lowndes County Schools.

Looking ahead, Mr. Swilley is excited to join the Lowndes Middle School family. He looks forward to connecting with the LMS teachers, staff, students, and parents and is committed to serving as principal. He extends his gratitude to Mrs. Wilcher and the Lowndes County Board of Education for their confidence in him and this opportunity.

This young man is truly amazing inside and out! He is has a strong bond with our staff members at LMS, a friend to all of the LMS students, and he has stollen the heart of our SOLOCO PTO president and our SOLOCO PTO members. He was the best team manager during our Powderpuff event this year and is always eager to participate in events. We are all so proud of him and we look forward to watching his bright future unfold! Congratulations Griff!!! We are all so proud of you!!👏🏼 🎉

Griffin exemplifies the true spirit of a Beta Club member through his dedication, leadership, and service to others. He loves our school and the people in it, and he’s always willing to lend a helping hand. Griffin is not only a leader in Mrs. Horton’s class but also works closely with Officer Shaw each day, showing his dedication to helping others and keeping our school safe. To know Griffin is to love him, and we’re so proud of all he does to make our school a better place. Congratulations on your Beta Club induction, Griffin—you truly lead by example!
