🌎 Connecting classroom learning to career opportunities!

Fayette County educators and employers, take a look at Global Learning for a Local Workforce from the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh! This professional development opportunity brings middle and high school educators, counselors, and administrators together with local employers to help prepare students for a changing workforce.

Educators can bring real-world career connections into their classrooms, while employers can share the skills their industries need and help students understand the opportunities available close to home.

Building our future workforce means supporting young professionals once they’re on the job. Providing mentorship, investing in training, and having regular conversations about career goals can help employees see a future with your organization.

Sometimes, the most valuable question you can ask is: “What would help you grow here?” Take time to listen, then follow through.

We love seeing our Fayette County Biz Wiz Kids back in action! 🧦💡

At their latest meeting, club members, including a few new faces, put their entrepreneurial skills to work learning about branding and target customers. Starting with the same plain white sock, each participant created a completely different product based on the wants and needs of their specific customer.

It was a great hands-on lesson in an important part of entrepreneurship: successful businesses don't just create products they like, they create products their customers want!

Biz Wiz Kids is a program of the Fayette Business Education Partnership, in partnership with Penn State Extension of Fayette County and Pennsylvania 4-H - Fayette County.

Tonight is Biz Wiz Kids Club Night! 💡🌟

Join us tonight, Monday, August 31, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, 65 W. Main Street in Uniontown.

Kids ages 8–16 are invited to enjoy an evening of creativity, learning, and fun while exploring entrepreneurship and building valuable business and leadership skills. New members are always welcome, and no previous business experience is needed!

It’s back-to-school time!
