Patrick was severely injured while serving in Afghanistan when he suffered a gun shot wound to the head. On May 12th, 2010, Patrick McIlvain of Uniontown, PA was injured in Afghanistan. Pat's unit was attacked in Kherwar, Afghanistan around 6:30am. Pat suffered a gun shot wound to the head. No one knows exactly how but he miraculously survived. This page is designed to share Pat's story and to kee

p everyone updated on Pat's progress on his road to recovery. We will try to post photos, video clips and general comments about Pat's progress, our organization and special events. Please feel free to share our page and Patricks story with your friends and thank you for support our organization! He is currently living in Raleigh, NC at The Learning Services Center. Patrick has around the clock therapy and is working very hard and showing improvements. Patrick has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He is doing better but really needs everyone love and support. Our organization raises money to help assist local veterans. We have started this non-profit organization in Honor of Patrick. made wristbands with Pat's nick-name on them. They say “Mac’s Might” in honor of his courage and strength to serve his country and for fighting through the struggle from this terrible tragedy. **We are very excited to be gearing up for our 15th year hosting the Pat Mac Fund golf outing. This year's outing will take place on Friday August 14th at the Uniontown Country Club - forms will be released at the end of this week**

We are reaching out to any veterans that served with Pat in the army. We have a few spots left for a foursome. If anyone that served with Pat is interested in golfing please contact me directly. We will be releasing the registration and sponsorship forms to the public at the end of the week. We want to make sure you guys have priority.

We have communicated with a few about possibly attending the outing but not golfing. You are all welcome to come in for the outing to hangout, drink some beer and grab dinner. We would be honored to have you at the outing. Please share this with anyone that may not follow this page.

On this Veterans Day, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the men and women who have served our nation. This particular quote resonated with us and was especially reminiscent of Pat McIlvain.

Throughout the years, we have had the privilege of meeting numerous remarkable veterans. From day one, it was evident that not a single veteran that we have had the pleasure of meeting has served for personal accolades or social media recognition; rather, they have selflessly fought for our freedom and strived to create a better world for future generations.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. We are forever indebted to you for your sacrifices and commitment to protecting our freedom.

We are deeply grateful for the love and support we've received this past week. We would like to acknowledge and thank our loyal supporters, including Josh Angeline, Tom Mcilvain, Tom & JoAnn Semans, Patty & Joe Semans, and Lindsay Howard, who have made significant contributions to the Pat "Mac" McIlvain Memorial scholarship fund. Our initial goal was to raise $5,000 in our first year, and we are now very close to achieving it. This progress would not have been possible without the generous donations from these individuals.

Additionally, we extend our gratitude to our first place foursome, Justin Revak, and second place foursome, Levi Harris, as well as the 50/50 winner, Jeremy Davis, for their kindness in donating their winnings back to the Pat Mac Fund. All donations will be directed towards the scholarship fund.

The 2025 Pat Mac memorial golf outing was a tremendous success. We extend our sincerest gratitude to our corporate sponsors, t-shirt sponsors, tee sign sponsor, and volunteers, whose contributions made this event possible. We also offer a special thank you to all participants who joined us for golf today. This year's outing was our largest to date, and we were fortunate to avoid inclement weather. We hope everyone had an enjoyable experience and look forward to planning our 15th outing next year.
