HAPPY HALLOWEEN from Another Act of Kindness!🎃👻 Just a few more pictures from our recent Halloween "Fun"draiser. Another huge thank you to the band, The Aviators, who donated their time and talents for awesome music. And thank you to Joe Richards for starting off the evening with some songs on the guitar. We appreciate the generosity of this community and we are grateful for all of the support which allows us to get our new initiative, the Cindy Zurbrugg Memorial Scholarship, funded.
We truly believe in making kindness contagious!🧡

Another Act of Kindness had an amazing week! We presented what we are doing with our our nonprofit to the Tip Club for the Canton Chamber and I also sat on the Lunch and Learn panel for the Greater Akron Chamber to discuss coping with burnout. Our Halloween fundraiser last night was a blast and we are so grateful for our generous friends, family, frontline workers and our community! And today, we provided lunch to the compassionate respiratory therapists at Aultman hospital to celebrate Respiratory Therapists week. Thank you to Palumbos for help with the food! It really does feel good to be kind!🩷💜

Our Halloween fundraiser is tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, at 6:00 at Arrowhead Event Center!🎃🎃 A fun night night for a great cause as we raise funds for our nursing and counselor scholarships, and our mental health programs for frontline workers. We are raffling off a hard to get bottle of VANWINKLE. The tickets are only $50 apiece for a bottle worth $1000. We will also have pop-up shops from The Lasting Link, and Cottage Sea Glass. Costumes are welcome; not required, BUT we will be having a costume contest👻. We hope to see you there! 🎃

Happy happy birthday to you, Lana! ❤️ I hope you have a day as beautiful as you are! Lana was one of our first AAK scholarship winners and she and her husband have volunteered with our nonprofit many times! She graduated and is now a compassionate nurse at University Hospitals. I love the the way life weaves us together!❤️❤️

Almost 6 years ago, these compassionate people were complete strangers. Now they are our family! We stopped in Aultman to celebrate Rapid Response Nurses week, to let them know how much we appreciate them, and we got to see so many of our chosen family. We love all of our Aultman Angels, and we are so thankful to be able to celebrate, laugh and share time with them. We also got to celebrate Kristen Fano's promotion as the nurse manager in the MICU. Congratulations, Kristen!

Through her background in counseling and psychology, Michele founded Another Act of Kindness, a local nonprofit dedicated to growing kindness and compassion while supporting frontline workers. Join us next Tuesday at 12 at Hot Shots Pickleball Club to learn more about Michele and her mission!

We are counting down to our spooktacular night out for our Halloween "fun"draiser at Arrowhead Event Center on Thursday, October 29. The Aviators will be playing great music and we will have some pop-up shops from local businesses. This past Wednesday, Another Act of Kindness held our 14th Healing the Healers retreat for a group of nurses from Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover! It is always so cathartic for us to share our story and then give back with mental health and wellness support to the amazing heroes who care for community members on a daily basis, shift after shift! We love building these relationships! 💜💜🩷🩷
