I have no words to describe the absolute joy we feel as we get to bless it forward with our nursing scholarships this year. Today we gave out our final $1500 renewable Emerging Nursing scholarship to a deserving and compassionate senior and future nurse, London Wilson at Akron Firestone High School! We serendipitously met her mom, Angela, as we walked into the building. She shared that London will be a first generation college student in their family. We are so happy to make these new connections and be a tiny part of London's journey to becoming a nurse. Kindness is alive and well in our community. Congratulations London and job well done to her mama, Angela! On a sidenote, it was so good to see our old friends, Mr Perry and Morgan Dent!

It was such an honor to be recognized with the Women's Impact Education Award surrounded by my family, friends, our nursing heroes and so many strong and impactful women in our community! Thank you to Courtney Halter, Brenda Basso and all my fellow Aultman Women's Board members for the support and nomination! And a huge thank you to Women's Impact for honoring this year's awardees.

It's truly amazing to watch the ripple affect of kindness. After so much kindness was shown to us as Jonathan went through his journey to health, we are so happy to bless it forward. When the owners of Euro Gyro, David and Arpita, heard our story and how we were planning to provide dinner to over 150 nurses, they gave us a generous break on the cost. In total, we got to celebrate Nurse's week today with over 235 nurses at Aultman (MICU, SICU, ED, CCU, CVSICU, and Aultman's Massillon ED). And in between, we got to award another Nursing Excellence scholarship for $2500 to Lilly Tula who attends OSU. Finally, we got to enjoy a beautiful meal with our sweet friends, Bill and Leanne Lehn! It felt so good to share the day with so many wonderful people. Kindness really is contagious!🩷🩷💜💜

There is so much joy in giving! 🩷💜🎉 Today, Another Act of Kindness had the honor of giving out our Emerging Nursing scholarships to two very deserving young women from Perry High School. These girls have been friends since elementary school, are both going into nursing and are both being awarded a $1500 renewable scholarship! I always love serendipitous events. Congratulations to Haylee Fearon and Brooke Rectktenwalt! We appreciate your future career choice, and know that you will both be a blessing to so many in your communities. We also want to give a huge shout out to Meagan Crim, one of school counselors at Perry, who kept this all a secret and Melissa Walter who snuck me in to give these awards at the assembly as a surprise! SO. MUCH. FUN!💜🩷

A huge THANK YOU to all of our volunteers! We couldn't have done it without you. Our Gala Committee all worked so hard behind the scenes to make everything beautiful and flow smoothly. Our son, Ben, did an amazing job on the marketing and design for the event!  I also want to give a big shout-out to our resident photographer, Bill Lehn!! We appreciate each of the volunteers for their participation from the college students we've met at our presentations, to people who have just heard about us, to people we have known for 35 years who've reached out to volunteer. We also can't say enough positive things about Arrowhead Golf and Event Center. Keri, Michelle, Allison and Olivia were on top of everything! And Chef and his staff did an amazing job with the food! What a beautiful night celebrating kindness, compassion and love with our family, friends, and our chosen family of angels! Our 3rd annual gala is over but the connections we have built will continue to grow. It's always emotional when the very people we are working to support, turn around and thank us which always brings us to tears.
