We provide support, education, resources and compassion to families touched by infant loss.

Our Mission:

To encourage, promote, and provide support, compassion and healing to families who have experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage, prematurity, stillbirth, S.I.D.S. and all other forms of antenatal and neonatal death as well as to educate those people who support them.

Last night was filled with love, remembrance, understanding, and connection. 💜✨

These incredible mamas gathered at the Missing Alexis Foundation/HEARTS Support Group to create beautiful lighted memory blocks honoring their precious babies who are forever carried in their hearts. Each block tells a story of love that never fades and serves as a gentle reminder that their children’s light continues to shine brightly. 🕯️

In a room filled with compassion and support, these mothers shared laughter, tears, memories, and strength with one another — reminding us all that no one should have to walk the journey of pregnancy or infant loss alone.

We are so grateful for every mama who joined us last night and for the courage they show every single day. Thank you for allowing us to hold space for your babies, your grief, and your love. 💕

Today, on Mother’s Day, we hold close the mothers whose arms may be empty, but whose love never will be. 💜

To the women carrying the heartbreak of miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, failed adoption, infertility, or the loss of a child at any age — we see you. Your motherhood is real. Your child matters. Your grief matters.

Mother’s Day can be beautiful for some and unbearably painful for others. If today feels heavy, please know you are not alone. At the Missing Alexis Foundation, we honor every mother loving a child she cannot hold.

May you find moments of peace today in memories, in quiet reflection, in the support of those who understand, and in the enduring bond that death and loss can never erase.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Liz Bonis.

Liz fought a private and courageous battle with cancer, and her loss leaves an immeasurable void in our community and in our hearts.

Liz was more than a familiar and trusted face at LOCAL 12, WKRC-TV. She was a compassionate advocate, a voice for the vulnerable, and a true friend to so many. She often invited our Foundation to join her on her Sunday morning show, “What’s Happening in Health,” and graciously emceed our Missing Alexis Angel Gala, bringing warmth, grace, and genuine care to a night that means so much to the families we serve. She ultimately became a wonderful friend. 💜💕

Her support of grieving families was intentional, authentic, and deeply impactful. She understood the importance of honoring every life and standing beside those navigating unimaginable loss.

We are heartbroken.
And we are profoundly grateful.

Liz’s legacy of compassion, kindness, and advocacy will live on in the countless lives she touched—including ours.

Please keep her family, friends, and colleagues in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Because love never ends—and neither will the impact Liz made on this world. 💔

🌸 Support Group Update 🌸

Due to various spring break schedules this month throughout the NKY community, our April meeting of the Missing/HEARTS Support Group for pregnancy and infant loss will be cancelled.

We look forward to gathering again next month and are already planning a very special Mother’s Day support group meeting on May 11th—a time to honor, remember, and support one another in a meaningful way. 💗

We can’t wait to see everyone then. Until that time, please know you are always held close in our hearts.

BIG news… and we’re still trying to catch our breath! 💙✨

Last Thursday, the Missing Alexis Foundation was celebrated as a FINALIST for the Jefferson Award for Public Service through the Rotary Club of Cincinnati! What an honor from such an amazing group!

AND..... now we’ve also just learned that we've been selected as a FINALIST for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Business Impact Awards – Community Champion Non-Profit! 🎉 Winners will be selected during a celebration on May 7th at the Mega Corp Pavilion.

We are incredibly humbled and honored to be recognized alongside so many amazing organizations doing meaningful work in our community. What started from heartbreak has grown into a mission of love, support, and remembrance for families navigating unimaginable loss—and this recognition belongs to every family we’ve had the privilege to serve. 🤍

Thank you to our supporters, donors, volunteers, and community partners who continue to stand beside us. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
