Meet Drew Brasfield, Senior Intelligence Analyst at Dominion Energy, a member of AIRIP’s Education Committee, and the moderator for the August edition of AIRIP’s 2026 Webinar Series – Baselining the Threat Landscape for Your Organization.

Dominion Energy is an electric and natural gas utility serving Virginia and South Carolina. Drew works in Corporate Intelligence and Security where he analyzes physical and cyber threats to the company and energy sector. Before Dominion Energy, he served as an intelligence analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) for a decade working primarily on the Middle East, telecommunications infrastructure, and cyber threats to weapon systems.

Meet Matthew Nicholas, Senior Director, Intelligence Analysis at the National Basketball Association (NBA), the world’s premier basketball league, and one of the panelists for the August edition of AIRIP’s 2026 Webinar Series – Baselining the Threat Landscape for Your Organization.

At the NBA, Matthew assesses physical, reputational, and political risk for NBA operations overseas and manages travel safety requirements for the league. Prior to joining the NBA, Matthew worked for 12 years in the federal government, serving in counter-terrorism roles in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and State Department.

Meet Edward Johnson, Head of Global Analysis at Sibylline, and one of the panelists for the August edition of AIRIP’s 2026 Webinar Series – Baselining the Threat Landscape for Your Organization.

Based in London, Ed rejoined Sibylline in 2026. Utilizing his commercial and analytical experience, he is responsible for Sibylline’s analytical product offerings and ongoing strategic innovation helping our clients to better understand an increasingly complex world.

Before returning to Sibylline in 2026, Ed had previously joined Sibylline in 2014 initially as a Eurasia analyst before progressing to manage Sibylline’s analytical team. Between 2022 and 2026, Ed worked for Control Risks heading a team of analysts focused on kidnap, threat and extortion risks globally.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building autonomous systems for national security. Kathan leads global security operations, travel risk management, and protective intelligence. Before Anduril, he led response, intelligence, and travel security teams at various companies across the technology and security sectors and continues to serve as a company commander and intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserve.
