A clarification for our community: SML Gives Inc remains SML GIVES INC. 💙

The annual online fundraising event previously called "SML GIVES” organized by SML Good Neighbors, Inc. has announced its new name: Give Local SML. We welcome the clearer distinction between that event and our independent nonprofit organization.

SML GIVES INC continues serving neighbors throughout the year through home food delivery, support for the regions’ existing hunger relief organizations, household stabilization assistance, and the launch of the SML GIVES SOUTHAKE FOOD PANTRY in Glade Hill.

Our commitment remains the same: bringing neighbors, businesses, volunteers, and nonprofits together so no one is left behind and no one goes to bed hungry.

We’re proud to partner with Page Detailing! Kavyn Page is not only a member of our Board of Directors—he’s also a local business owner who believes that when local businesses thrive, our whole community benefits.
We were grateful to have Page Detailing join us as a sponsor at our tailgate fundraiser. Thank you, Kavyn, for sharing your time, energy, and passion for our community!

Neighbors helping neighbors!

🏡 SHOP WITH A PURPOSE and help us build something meaningful in Glade Hill! 💚

Our friends at Melvin's Farm to Fork Store are generously hosting an online Pampered Chef party to support the new SML GIVES INC Glade Hill facility!

As we renovate our first permanent facility and prepare to launch a full-time food pantry serving Southwestern Franklin County, every purchase will help move this important project closer to opening day. All proceeds from the Pampered Chef commissions earned through this promotion will be donated directly to the Glade Hill Facility Project.

Whether you need something new for your kitchen, are shopping for a gift, or simply want to support local families, every purchase makes a difference.

🛒 Shop the online party here:

Small purchases can create a BIG difference. Thank you to Melvin's Farm to Fork Store for investing in our mission and helping us prepare a place where neighbors can receive food, resources, encouragement, and hope.

Please shop, share, and help us spread the word! 💚

This week, the world lost a remarkable artist, but we also lost one of its great examples of generosity.

Dolly Parton spent her life giving back in ways both enormous and deeply personal, from disaster relief and medical research to scholarships and more than 330 million books placed into the hands of children through her Imagination Library.

One of her simplest philosophies may be the one worth remembering most:

“I just see a need and if I can fill it, then I will.”

At SML GIVES INC those words resonate deeply. Because changing a community begins exactly there: seeing a need, caring enough to notice, and choosing to do something about it.

A life of music. A legacy of giving.

Thank you, Dolly. 🤍
May we all leave our little corner of the world better than we found it.

We are working hard to get our facility ready to serve!

Renovations are underway and we are hoping to have the pantry open and serving neighbors by the end of the year.

Did you know that over 15% of our neighbors are facing food insecurity? Almost one in every six of our neighbors in Franklin County don’t know how they are going to feed their families.

Together, with the existing network of local organizations, SML GIVES INC is working hard to bridge the gap and ensure that no one goes without and no one goes to bed hungry.

Our mission is to compliment, NOT COMPETE, wit the existing hunger relief network in our region.

In the first year of operations, SML Gives Inc has sourced and redistributed 30 pallets of peanut butter and pantry staples to organizations in Franklin, Bedford, & Pittsylvania Counties at no cost. We offer financial aid for households in crisis, working to establish stability and help those families thrive. Over 30 new refrigerators, washers, dryers, and stoves have been distributed to those without.

We are here to serve!
