A new way to navigate Tysons. 📍🚇💙

We officially cut the ribbon on Tysons’ new Metro wayfinding system—8 new kiosks across all 4 Tysons Metrorail stations, connecting riders to 32+ destinations throughout Tysons.

A huge thank you to Fairfax County, WMATA, the Tysons Transportation Service District, our property partners, and SpaethHill for bringing the kiosk designs to life.

Tysons Mixed Market is back at The Boro every Thursday in September from 4–8 PM with local vendors, great food, live music, giveaways, and free activities for all ages.

Plus, mix in a little movement with free fitness classes throughout the month—including Pilates with JetSet, HIIT and Zumba with Normywell—and special appearances from adoptable pups from Fairfax County Animal Services. 🐾

A new Tysons connection is officially open!

The new crosswalk at Westwood Center Drive & Cornerside Boulevard may look like a simple improvement, but its impact is significant.

Before installation, nearly 200 people crossed here every day without a designated crosswalk, making it TCA’s highest-priority pedestrian safety issue in 2024.

Today, pedestrians of all abilities have a safer, more accessible way to get where they’re going.

A great example of partnership + placemaking + practical impact in action.

Thank you to Fairfax County Government, Virginia Department of Transportation, VIKA, Tysons Transportation Service District, and ARC Realty for helping us move Tysons forward—one connection at a time.

Tysons, we did it! 🏆

Together, we walked, biked, and rolled our way to nearly 500 trips, reduced more than 4,100 vehicle miles, prevented 3,600+ pounds of carbon emissions, and burned more than 81,000 calories during Tysons Trek & Treat.

And now, another milestone worth celebrating: Tysons Trek & Treat earned a First Place NAGC Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Award in the Campaign Over $100K category! 🏆

A special thank you to the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) for recognizing the campaign, and to the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) for funding this initiative and helping us encourage more sustainable, active ways to explore Tysons.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who participated. You made this award-winning campaign possible. And we’re not done yet. Tysons Trek & Treat returns this fall!
