This week, our team at TCA decided to check out the Yellow Route, which takes you past colorful murals, amazing shopping and entertainment options at The Boro (The Boro Tysons), and some of TCA’s newest wayfinding signage at the Washington Metro • WMATA Greensboro Metro and Tysons Water Tower.

More neighbors, new places to call home, and a growing community in Tysons!

Tysons’ residential population has nearly doubled since 2010, reaching approximately 32,000 residents—and there are more residents on the way! In Q2 2026, 231 new affordable homes opened in our district, with more than 800 residential units currently under construction across Tysons.

Another step toward a more connected Tysons. 🚲🌿

This week, community leaders celebrated the reopening of the Ashgrove Trail, creating a safer connection for people walking and biking between Tysons and Vienna.

Supervisor Walter Alcorn joined TCA Board Member Claudia Diamond, Chris Herrington and community partners to mark the milestone.

Together with the new Westwood Center Drive crosswalk, it’s another step toward making it easier and safer to move through Tysons on foot or by bike.
