Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to this country.

The freedom we have to build our businesses, raise our voices, and pursue our dreams exists because of their sacrifice. NAWBO is deeply grateful for every service member who answered the call. We honor them today and always.

What a dynamic and insightful evening at NAWBO Greater DC’s Wisdom & Wine: Advocating for Your Business event.

From navigating federal resources to understanding the real impact of advocacy on small businesses, this panel delivered practical insights and powerful perspectives. A huge thank you to moderator Rona Jobe and our incredible panelists—Janis Reyes (SBA Office of Advocacy), Elizabeth Milito (NFIB Legal Center), and Larry G. W. (SBA WMADO)—for sharing their expertise and engaging in meaningful dialogue with our community.

Events like this are a reminder that when women business owners are informed, connected, and empowered, we make a difference. There is power in advocacy.

NAWBO is finalizing its 2026 Advocacy Agenda, and we are still seeking input from members across the country. If you haven’t taken the survey yet, this is your moment to make sure women business owners are represented where decisions are made.
- It takes just 15 minutes
- Your input directly informs NAWBO’s advocacy on healthcare, insurance costs, and federal policy impacting small businesses

One chapter from each NAWBO chapter size category with the highest participation will earn the opportunity to ask a question directly to Members of Congress at NAWBO National’s Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C. on June 2, 2026.

Find your chapter’s survey link in the latest NAWBO Advocacy Update email or access it here: 🔗 https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GSFR35C

We cannot advocate effectively without hearing from you. Please take a few minutes today and encourage your chapter peers to do the same!
