Created in 1976 to serve the needs of the blind and visually impaired, the mission of The Lighthouse in Tyler, Texas is the rehabilitation, education, training and employment of people who are blind or visually impaired. Do you have a passion for teaching, encouraging independence, and helping others reach their full potential? East Texas Lighthouse is seeking an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Instructor to join our team and empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired through personalized instruction and support.

At East Texas Lighthouse, you won't be a number in a giant organization. You'll be part of a mission-driven team that changes lives every day across East Texas.
As an ADL Instructor, you'll work with children, adults, seniors, and an incredible team dedicated to helping individuals who are blind or visually impaired live independently. From home management skills to assistive technology and blindness-specific tools, you'll help clients build confidence, achieve meaningful goals, and gain greater independence.

What an incredible day at the 5th Annual Blind Ambition!
Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday for an afternoon of great beer, great people, and an even greater cause. From the live music and local vendors to the exclusive new Cherry Kölsch, the event was a tremendous success and so much fun for all who attended.
A special thank you to ETX Brewing Co. for once again partnering with us, hosting this amazing event, and crafting a delicious new Blind Ambition brew. Thank you also to Djlilwalk MixtapeMonster for creating an atmosphere of good vibes with a great playlist! We're also grateful to all of the vendors who helped make the day such a memorable experience.
But the celebration isn't over yet!
Saturday was just the kickoff party. The limited-edition Blind Ambition beer is still available at ETX Brewing Co. while supplies last, so stop by and grab a pint before it's gone!

Blind Ambition is more than a release party. It's an opportunity to help local teens who are blind or visually impaired experience the life-changing impact of Camp Lighthouse.
Every year, Camp Lighthouse gives students the opportunity to build confidence, independence, friendships, and essential life skills through activities like ziplining, horseback riding, goalball, college tours, and independent living training. For many campers, it's a week that changes the way they see themselves and their future.
