As a member of the East Texas Lighthouse Board of Directors, Rae has found a meaningful way to put that passion for service into action. And along the way, he’s gained an even greater appreciation for what people who are blind or have low vision can accomplish.

We’re still beaming after an incredible event at the Lighthouse!

There’s nothing quite like seeing new technology turn into new possibilities for independence.

Our Meta AI Glasses Giveaway was a day full of excitement, connection, learning, and plenty of smiles. Take a look at some of our favorite moments!

Video shows a very full indoor facility with vendor tables, and people laughing and talking. A corvette is parked out front, where veterans can look and feel the car. Most veterans interviewed are wearing their new glasses, beaming with excitement over what is to come!

Our Meta AI Glasses Giveaway for blinded and low-vision veterans is underway, and we couldn't be more excited! Veterans are receiving their Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses and getting one-on-one training to help them begin using this technology with confidence.
Seeing these glasses placed directly into the hands of veterans and watching them discover what this technology can do is exactly what today is all about: greater independence, new possibilities, and empowerment.
A huge thank you to the Blinded Veterans Association, CampV, Vettes 4 Vets Texas - V4V, Purple Hearts Home Health, Oceans Behavioral Hospital Longview, and Shield Down, for partnering and collaborating with us to make this special day possible. We're grateful for every person who helped bring this opportunity to veterans right here in East Texas.
