Showing up when someone is most in need makes more of an impact than we will ever know. Foster parents make a difference! 💓

For nearly 30 years, Ginger Cawley held onto a single photo of herself at 6, wrapped in her foster mother’s arms...a reminder of the brief time she experienced stability, safety, and what she calls her first sense of normalcy.

Though her foster care placement lasted less than a year, it stood in stark contrast to the instability and hardship that followed, becoming a mental refuge she returned to for years.

Decades later, after a long search, she reconnected with that foster family. This emotional reunion underscores a powerful truth: even short-term, loving foster placements can leave lasting imprints, shaping how a child in crisis understands safety, belonging, and what life can be.
