Meet the newest member of our rescue family, Butterbean.
This sweet little 10-year-old Chihuahua was rescued from the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center after being found as a neglected stray on July 25, 2026. Sadly, no one ever came to claim her.
Butterbean is the friendliest little girl and just wants to be loved. At only 7.5 pounds, she’s a tiny senior with a huge heart—but she has a long road ahead of her.
Her veterinary exam revealed several medical issues that need attention, including:
• A growth in her right ear
• Bilateral inguinal hernias
• A mammary mass
• Severe ear infections in both ears
• Multiple missing teeth
Butterbean is finally safe, and we are committed to giving her the medical care, comfort, and love she has always deserved.
