Meet the Coaches

Champions are remembered for what they accomplish. Leaders are remembered for what they inspire.
Eric Matthews has spent a lifetime doing both. After reaching the pinnacle of professional football as a Super Bowl Champion, he shifted his focus toward creating opportunities for others. Through the Eric Matthews Foundation, Matthews has become a trusted mentor, advocate, and servant leader dedicated to helping young people navigate life with confidence and purpose.
His influence extends far beyond athletics, touching families and communities through mentorship, education, outreach programs, and youth development initiatives. For Matthews, every camp, conversation, and community event is another opportunity to help someone realize that their future is bigger than their current circumstances.
Our first camp partnership was onJuly 27th, 2016, at Ballard Park, here in Tupelo. From here we have grown from a meager 20 kids to over 200 kids registered for this years camp. As a team, we appreciate the energy, effort, and structure Eric Matthews has provided us every year...

Meet the Coaches: Lucius “Too Tall” Winston

The Endzone Club is excited to welcome Lucius “Too Tall” Winston to our June 13th Sky Is The Limit Basketball Camp in Tupelo, Mississippi. A member of the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters, Lucius is known for his electrifying basketball skills, high-energy performances, and ability to connect with young people everywhere he goes. His nickname, “Too Tall,” has become a symbol of perseverance and confidence—a reminder that obstacles do not define your future. Through basketball, entertainment, and encouragement, he has inspired thousands to believe in themselves and pursue their goals with passion.

Beyond the bright lights and basketball arenas, Lucius is recognized as a mentor, motivator, and positive role model. A former collegiate athlete at Tuskegee University, he uses his platform to teach life lessons that extend far beyond the game. Campers will have the opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals, hear powerful messages about character and determination, and spend time with someone who has turned challenges into opportunities. Lucius “Too Tall” Winston embodies the spirit of the Sky Is The Limit Basketball Camp—helping young people discover their potential, build confidence, and realize that their dreams are within reach.

MEET THE COACHES

The Endzone Club is excited to introduce a first-time coach whose journey is unlike any other. Please join me in welcoming Re'Quan Harley, a dynamic athlete whose story is a powerful example of perseverance, adaptability, and purpose.

Re'Quan Harley first made his mark as a 6'5" elite track and field athlete at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he excelled as a decathlete, long jumper, sprinter, hurdler, and relay competitor. A four-time state champion and Team MVP at E.C. Glass High School, Harley's combination of speed, power, and versatility helped him become one of the most accomplished multi-sport athletes in his field.

His athletic gifts eventually opened the door to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when he was selected as a finalist in the Next Olympic Hopeful program and invited to train with Team USA Bobsled. What could have been the end of a dream became the beginning of a new one. After battling through injury setbacks, Harley refused to quit, proving that determination and faith can create opportunities where obstacles once stood.

Following his Olympic and track and field pursuits, Re'Quan continued his athletic career on the professional level with the Baltimore Lightning, where he showcased his versatility by playing both wide receiver and quarterback. His ability to transition across multiple sports and positions demonstrates the adaptability, work ethic, and leadership that define his character.

Today, Re'Quan brings that same passion and experience to The Endzone Club. His journey from the track to the ice, and from professional football to youth mentorship, provides a unique perspective that will inspire young athletes to dream big, overcome adversity, and maximize their purpose!! We are honored to have him join our coaching staff as we continue preparing today's youth for tomorrow's victories.

Meet the Coaches: M.D. Jennings

A Mississippi native and former NFL safety, M.D. Jennings brings elite playing experience and a passion for developing young athletes to The Endzone Club. A standout at Arkansas State University, Jennings earned First Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors and built a reputation as a hard-hitting, instinctive defensive back. His football journey led him to the NFL, where he played for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Now making his THIRD appearance as an Endzone Club coach, Jennings is committed to teaching the fundamentals of football, leadership, discipline, and perseverance. Most recently, he helped lead Calhoun City High School to the 2025 Mississippi 1A State Football Championship, continuing his impact on the game as a mentor and coach.

Meet the Coaches: Peyton Cummings

Jumping back on our basketball camp side of the building, Peyton Cummings is a PROUD Mississippi State graduate who is a dedicated leader, mentor, and guiding light for the young people. P coaches with a passion, and has a strong knack for developing the next generation on and off the field. As a head coach, physical trainer, and nutrition advocate with Sky Is The Limit Ministries, Peyton brings a powerful combination of discipline, faith, and mentorship to every athlete he encounters.

Focused on building confidence, character, and purpose, Peyton teaches young athletes the importance of hard work, accountability, and perseverance in every area of life. His mission goes beyond sports — helping youth become stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually while inspiring them to chase their goals with purpose.

MEET THE COACHES
Muhammad Modeen Shamsiddeen

Former NFL running back Muhammad Modeen Shamsid-Deen brings a legacy of leadership, perseverance, and purpose to our annual football camp. Modeen was a stellar running back at the U.T. Chattanooga, where he earned honors as one of their most valuable offensive players. After college, he took his talents to the Seattle Seahawks and later to the Toronto Argonauts and Buffalo Bills.

Now entering his 5th camp with the us, Coach Modeen remains a powerful example of what hard work, faith, and consistency can achieve. His message to young athletes is simple: greatness is earned through preparation, sacrifice, and believing in yourself when no one else does.

“The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.”

Anthony Smith

2x Super Bowl Champion. Proven Leader. Mentor.

The Endzone Club is proud to welcome back Anthony Smith for his 5th camp appearance on June 13th. A former NFL defensive back, Smith built an impressive professional career competing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, and Jacksonville Jaguars. During his time in the league, he earned two Super Bowl championships and established himself as a relentless competitor with a passion for the game.

Since retiring from the NFL, Dr. Anthony Smith has dedicated himself to developing the next generation through elite training, mentorship, discipline, and leadership through his Trench Mob platform.

One of the top motivational speakers in the land, you are NOT going to want to miss this experience!!

We’re excited to welcome back one of our own, Pier Cummings, to this year’s Sky if the Limit Ministries Youth Basketball Camp! Pier is a talented young athlete whose journey continues to inspire the next generation both on and off the court.

Pier earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi, after beginning his collegiate journey at Mississippi State. Even with his collegiate obligations Pier has continued to grow as a leader, mentor, and student of the game. His passion for basketball, discipline, and commitment to education make him a powerful example for young athletes looking to chase their dreams the right way.

From growing up competing on the hardwoods to giving back to the community at this same gym, Pier understands the importance of hard work, perseverance, and believing in yourself. Campers will have the opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals, gain valuable life lessons, and be encouraged by someone who has walked the path with purpose.
