The council's 2027 Philmont Contingent is getting ready to start preparing for our backpacking trip to the mountains of Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. We already have scouts and leaders from Starkville, Oxford, and Tupelo, but we're looking for a few more scouts and scouters! The dates are June 22nd-July 3rd. The total cost is $2250, which includes everything but personal gear. Contact Ben Pharr at (662) 832-0038 with questions. We are now accepting scouts and scouters from other councils.

We have started the transition process from Tentaroo to Council Ware for our new websites and event registrations. The payment processing on Tentaroo has been deactivated and we will put all the events with a current registration period on our new website to continue the registration process. You can still call the office to register and pay for these events. (Philmont, LIE OA Weekend, Fall Camporee, Scramble for Scouting Golf Tournament and Leader Specific Training) We have saved all registrations and payments already paid to these events. We have also saved all past summer camp and winter camp reports. Please do your due diligence in saving any reports from Tentaroo you need for personal records or screenshots of any credit you have on your account. Tentaroo will end on October 31st. We ask for your patience as we navigate this unexpected transition. Thank you!
