Meet Joel and Kevin!
These brothers are available for international adoption from Eastern Europe. They do not have a close bond, and because of this, they may be placed within the same family or different families. Joel was born in December 2021, and Kevin was born in January 2023.
Joel is described as a cheerful and calm child. At this time, he uses simple speech expressions to communicate. Since starting school, he has shown growth in his social functioning and interactions. When he is familiar with an adult, he can initiate physical contact, seeking closeness and responding positively to hugs. Joel will require special care, attention, and support for his needs. Having dedicated adoptive parents to provide him with the consistency, love, and resources needed to support his development is essential for this sweet boy.
Kevin seeks closeness with caregivers and often initiates physical contact. He willingly hugs, sits on caregivers’ laps, and upon seeing a familiar person, reacts with joy, smiles, and increased motor activity. Kevin can walk independently, run, climb, and move up stairs with caregiver support. Though his speech is delayed, he is making progress. He continually learns new words, and his vocabulary is expanding. Kevin needs the love, consistency, and support of an adoptive family who can provide him with the nurture and resources he needs.
