Troop 2627, Tupelo MS Troop 2627 is a Scout Troop affiliated with Scouting America. The Troop services both male and female youth with a dedicated Troop for each. Ping us for details!

We are actively recruiting all youth, ages 10.5 to 16 to join Scouting America. Scouting provides youth with opportunities to learn leadership, responsibility, respect for both people and the outdoors along with practical skills that will help them out for years to come. They will also have a great opportunity to make friendships that could last a lifetime. Youth can play sports, participate in ch

urch youth group and school clubs and still have time to do scouting! Do not let full schedules keep you from inquiring! Pack 2627 had their Blue & Gold tonight! Family time & gym time, cant wait to see what this summer brings!

If you have a youth who will begin Kindergarten this fall through an incoming 5th grader, who is interested in scouting, leadership and the outdoors - reach out to us! Fall recruitment will start in Aug/Sept BUT you can get ahead of the game! We will have some super fun summer meet ups you won't want to miss!

Natchez Trace Council Spring Camporee @ Enid Lake. This was a great event. We only had a small group of boys attend this outing but there were Troops from all over the Council attending so there were plenty of other scouts to run around with. They worked on Fishing, Fly Fishing and Fish & Wildlife Management merit badges. We also got to take a really cool tour of the fish hatchery. Perfect weather this weekend as well. You don’t get many of these in Mississippi!

Spring Court of Honor for Troop 2627. We had 2 rank advancements and a bunch of merit badges from 2 different Merit Badges Colleges and several from Scouts working on their own, Den Chief Award and several devices added to previously award National Outdoor Awards. Our Scouts are working the program and having a fun time.

We celebrated with pizza and floats!

Packs 2627 and 34 combined forces to have a combined Pinewood Derby Race. We had 12 cars enter and qualify. Fun was had by all. Pack 34 won the day with the top 3 racers from a double elimination. We will meet again at the District Races on April 11th! Stay tuned.

Last weekend was the Cub Scout Spring Family Campout at Camp Yocona. I am very PROUD to say PACK 2627 had 100% participation from our small Pack. We enjoyed fishing, fire building, whittling, flag etiquette- raising, lowering, folding, rocket building, walking parade and campfire. Along with meeting with other packs in our district and just downright having FUN! The theme for the weekend was St. Patrick's Day and we definitely found the pot of gold fun at the end of the weekend!

Troop 2627 assisted with the Cub Family Spring Campout by being on Staff and earned some service time helping run activities. We also was able to squeeze in some merit badge work. A great weekend had by all!

Holy moly!!!! Pack 2627 worked on cutting on Pinewood Derby Cars AND special thanks to Lowe's Home Improvement for donating Build Kits - a Washing Machine Bank! We were able to talk about several different tools and tool safety. It was LOUD, but we had a blast AND everyone has a new washing machine bank to hold their money in that they made for themselves!

Special big thanks to the Scoutmaster Dan from the troop, the troops Senior Patrol Leader, Committee Chair Thomas, and all of the Pack's parents....it was a all hands on deck night. BUT...it was successful! If you have a youth in Kindergarten to 4th grade, come check out Cub Scouts at St.James Catholic Church Tupelo - we meet on Wednesdays at 6pm (no school holidays), and/or if you have any older youth, age 10.5 to 17, we have a place for them at the troop, they meet Mondays at 6pm (no school holidays). Come check us out!
