Networking, learning, and expanding our thoughts & vision. All these things happened this week at United Way’s Northeast Regional Conference. Our staff and some board members attended this great event. It was nice to connect with our local United Ways and meet some new partners!

Wyoming County United Way wants to ensure we are doing the best job helping our Wyoming County residents. Today our board and staff participated in a half day retreat analyzing local data, evaluating our current distributions, assessing our current and future fundraising strategies, and developing an 18-month plan. Most importantly discovering our “Why”. Why do we do what we do??? A huge thank you to Steve O’Brien, HR manager from P&G, for facilitating the process!

Luzerne County Head Start started servicing Wyoming County in 1996 and has been a critical program to low income children and families in Wyoming County. They currently have 2 classrooms in Tunkhannock Area School District. Congratulations to one of the Alumni Scholarships recipients, Christian Stevens who is graduating from TASD!

Tomorrow is the day!!!! It's the Miller Mountain Trail Challenge . Check out these great posters designed by local resident Emma Ergott. They will be for sale tomorrow for $20 each with proceeds going to the charity recipients. There is a limited amount available, so make sure you get yours! Good luck to all our participants!
