Part-time Seasonal 4-H Program Assistant, Wyoming County Office Job Opening

This individual will serve as a Wyoming County Cooperative Extension team member, assisting with the 4-H program for 4-H youth members and adult volunteer leaders.

Time Requirements: Approximately 20 hours/week, fluctuating depending on the time of the year. The individual must be available for evening and weekend events to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.

🚨 Registration is Open! 🚨

Are you a community-minded teen interested in learning practical skills, exploring emergency services careers, and becoming better prepared to help your family and community during emergencies?

Penn State Extension is seeking motivated youth ages 13–18 for the Youth Emergency Preparedness Program (YEPP) Day Camp, a week-long experience designed for teens who want to build leadership skills, increase their preparedness knowledge, and make a positive impact in their communities.

📅 July 6–10, 2026
🕗 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily
📍 Wyoming County Fairgrounds
9141 State Route 6, Meshoppen, PA 18630

Throughout the week, participants will:

✅ Learn emergency preparedness and disaster readiness skills
✅ Develop personal and family emergency plans
✅ Meet local emergency management professionals, first responders, and public safety personnel
✅ Explore careers in emergency services and community response
✅ Participate in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and team-building exercises
✅ Build leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

💲 Participants may also earn CPR and First Aid Certification for an additional $15 fee.

🎓 The week concludes with a certificate presentation recognizing each participant’s successful completion of the program.

This opportunity is open to both 4-H members and non-4-H youth.
