🌟MODERATOR SPOTLIGHT: LAURA HATMAKER
Laura Hatmaker is a dedicated community advocate, loving mother, and longtime professional who has spent the past 10 years working with Nissan. She is also the President of PFLAG Tullahoma, where she works to create a more supportive, welcoming, and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
Laura is passionate about creating a lasting sense of love, openness, belonging, and welcome within her community. She strives to do work that resonates with young people and their families—especially those who may feel unsupported, unseen, or as though they do not have a community of their own.
Through her work with PFLAG and throughout her community involvement, Laura believes in the importance of creating spaces where people can feel safe being themselves, know that their experiences matter, and understand that they do not have to face difficult moments alone. Her goal is to help build a community where everyone has someone to turn to and where compassion and understanding are always present.
As the moderator for HOPE FOR TOMORROW, Laura brings that same compassion and commitment to the conversation. She is dedicated to helping create a safe and meaningful space for discussing mental health, su***de awareness, support, and—most importantly—hope.
Laura believes that sometimes knowing someone cares, having a place where you belong, and feeling truly seen can make a lasting difference. Through her continued work, she hopes to leave behind a stronger, more loving, and more welcoming community for generations to come.
