Spreading Threads Clothing Bank Donating Clothing and Hygiene Products-

You can make donations of clean, gently-used clothing or new clothing for children from infants to teens age 18.

Spreading Threads is a grassroots, nonprofit community clothing bank that provides free clothes to foster youth in southern Arizona & was founded by two foster moms in Tucson who have fostered and adopted several children in Arizona. We are especially in need of clothing for school-age children. Spreading Threads Clothing Bank is in need of the following for boys and girls of all ages:

~Jeans, Trousers, Slacks, Dress Pants, Etc.
~Shirts, Polos, Button Ups, T-shirts, Etc.
~Underwear, Socks, Bras, Etc. (These must be new)
~Tennis Shoes, Dress Shoes, Sandals, Flip Flops, Etc.
~Jackets, Coats, Sweaters, Etc.
~Summer Wear Such as Shorts, Tank Tops, Swimsuits, Etc.
~Diapers, Wipes, Burp Clothes, Etc.
~Backpacks, School Supplies, Books, Toys, Etc.
~Hygiene Products such as Shampoo, Deodorant, Makeup, Bath Soap, Etc. (These items must be new)

🎃👻🍬 Join Spreading Threads Clothing Bank and our friends at the FACT - Foster and Adoptive Council of Tucson for their first annual FACT Spooktacular Family Night, on Sunday, October 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.!

The Spooktacular Trunk or Treat will feature a costume parade at 6 p.m.! There will be tons of candy and fun, too!

❤️👕👖 If you have clothing that is new or gently used, please consider donating to Spreading Threads Clothing Bank, a nonprofit serving foster and adoptive children from birth through age 18.

Donations needed for boys and girls of all ages include:

~ Jeans, trousers, slacks, and dress pants
~ Shirts, polos, button-ups, and T-shirts
~ Underwear, socks, bras, etc. (must be new)
~ Tennis shoes, dress shoes, sandals, and flip-flops
~ Jackets, coats, sweaters, and seasonal clothing
~ Summer items including shorts, tank tops, and swimsuits
~ Diapers, wipes, burp cloths, and baby essentials
~ Backpacks, school supplies, books, and toys
~ Hygiene products such as shampoo, deodorant, soap, feminine hygiene products, and makeup (must be new)

To best serve local foster children, donated clothing should be new or in excellent condition. Your donation helps provide dignity, confidence, and essential resources to children in need.

Please note: Spreading Threads Clothing Bank cannot pick up donations. Donations can be placed in the donation blue bin located in front of the property on the northeast corner.

👨‍👩‍👧🛍️ You’re invited to join Spreading Threads Clothing Bank for our Second Saturday, "Socks and Underwear" event on October 10!

Foster children, kinship placements, and adoptive families are welcome at Spreading Threads Clothing Bank on Saturday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to “shop” for clothing and essentials for free. Our Second Saturday Shopping Event in October is a “Socks and Underwear” event! All foster, kinship, and adoptive children are eligible for new socks and new underwear. These are essentials that children tend to lose or outgrow quickly, so our “Socks and Underwear” event gives them new ones to welcome the cooler weather.

Foster children living in foster homes, group homes, or kinship placements, and adoptive children are eligible for two new outfits and a pair of pajamas each month. Used clothing and other items such as books and toys are always available.

First-time visitors to Spreading Threads Clothing Bank, foster and adoptive children are also eligible for a new pair of shoes, socks, and underwear. We provide these essentials for children new to foster care who may not have them.

Please remember to bring your DCS form FC069 “Notice to Provider” for each foster or kinship child. For questions, call (520) 971-3237.

Along with clothing and essential supplies, Spreading Threads Clothing Bank warmly welcomes monetary donations to support foster youth, kinship families, and children living in group homes across Southern Arizona. Your contribution directly supports local foster children in need, and every dollar truly makes a difference.

If you’re looking for a meaningful place to give this summer, please consider making a monetary donation to Spreading Threads Clothing Bank. Spreading Threads Clothing Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organization (QFCO), so your donation may qualify for a dollar-for-dollar Arizona State Tax Credit. Support local children by donating - every contribution helps foster dignity in Southern Arizona's foster children!

Please spread the word! Spreading Threads Clothing Bank will host our next event this coming Saturday, October 10th from 9 am to 1 pm.

🧦October is a Sock & Underwear month. All children that qualify for our services can pick up a new pack of socks and a new pack of underwear.

🎃 We do have a few Halloween items left.

🛍️ Please bring your own shopping bags.

👕 Spreading Threads is a clothing bank open to all AZ kinship, foster, foster-adoptive, and DCS guardianship families as well as extended foster youth. Each youth can choose two new outfits and a pair of pajamas every month.

🆓 All items are FREE, first-come-first-serve, and while supplies last.

✅ We must have your paperwork for each eligible child. We accept Notice to Provider or Adoption Court Orders. Paperwork not already on file with us should be emailed in advance to [email protected]. Be sure you have this paperwork available when you come to our event in case we need to see it again.

📌 We are located at 2945 N. Flowing Wells. Parking is in the front while our main entrance is at the rear. Look for the bright green trim! For more information, visit spreadingthreads.com.
