Sydni Mikel Lee was diagnosed with Familial Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis at fifteen and a half years old. She and her mom checked into the Ronald McDonald House in April of 2018 when she began intensive rounds of radical chemotherapy, had over forty blood transfusions, and other forms of care. They stayed with us for 157 nights.

Sydni said her family "found an incredibly loving and generous community who supported us every step of the way through meals, a clean room, a space for group therapy, and the simple comforts of a conversation." These days, we see Sydni when she drops in to donate Pop-Tabs and catch up with the staff.

Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience and the lasting impact of family-centered care. She reminds us that you should always have a glimmer of hope for the future. ✨❤

Grayson was born early at 33 weeks and needed immediate surgery and specialized care. For nearly a month while Grayson was in the NICU, his parents, Paige and Jordan, stayed just steps away at Ronald McDonald House Louisville

Once a Ronald McDonald House Family, always a Ronald McDonald House Family. ❤️

While Harlow and Hadley were in the NICU, the Rardon family found comfort and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. Now, the twins have made it a tradition to give back by volunteering at the House each year, even spending part of their birthday this year packing lunches and preparing a meal for families staying at the House.
