We Care Tucsonโ€™s #โ„™๐•š๐•”๐•œ๐•๐•–๐•„๐•’๐•Ÿ was happy to meet up with the Birthday๐ŸฅณGal Diana Brettrager of Phones Down, Just Drive to receive her digital donation of a computer monitor, hard drive, printer, tablets, speakers, mice and cords. It was an easy breezy exchange after a wonderful luncheon coordinated by Tucson Business Networking LLC. Of course, she also received a Happy Birthday serenade from us for dessert. We Care Tucsonโ€™s Youth Tech Camps were so much FUN yesterday Iโ€ฆmean, the #โ„™๐•š๐•”๐•œ๐•๐•–๐•„๐•’๐•Ÿ came by twice to join in all the great times. It was wonderful seeing all the staff and volunteers captivating the kiddos in a way that didnโ€™t involve being in front of a screen. ๐ŸšจBONUS: A few of our board members were on site helping where they could and planning some very BIG things ahead.

It was an honor to come to one of Jenโ€™s properties and throw a PickUp PARTAY of computer monitors, hard drives, cords, keyboards and many other digital relics. Weโ€™re going to strip down what we can, sort and recycle โ™ป๏ธ these items and send them off with our environmentally conscious partners. On behalf of everyone at We Care Tucson, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Tuk Tuk Express for providing a wonderful lunch for our campers and staff on Tuesday, June 2nd.

๐Ÿ’™ Community Champions Make All the Difference ๐Ÿ’™
At We Care Tucson, we are blessed to witness the incredible generosity of our community every dayโ€”and today we want to recognize one very special community partner.
A huge thank you to Chris Edwards and Tucson Appliance Company for stepping up when we needed help.
As our Youth Initiative Programs continue to grow, so do the logistical needs that come with serving more young people. This summer, our camp program expanded to the point where our single refrigerator simply wasn't enough to store the food, drinks, and snacks needed for our campers. We weren't looking for anything fancyโ€”just a reliable refrigerator with enough space to support our growing program.
I reached out to Chris and asked if there was any way he might be able to help.
His response came back almost immediately:
"Where would you like us to deliver the refrigerator?"
No lengthy questions. No hesitation. Just a genuine desire to help.
That simple act of kindness speaks volumes about the kind of person Chris is and the values that Tucson Appliance brings to our community. When there is a need, they show up. They invest in our youth. They support local nonprofits. They make a difference.
Chris, your generosity will have a direct impact on hundreds of young people participating in our STEM and technology camps this summer. On behalf of We Care Tucson, our staff, volunteers, and every camper we serve:

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend; it is a time to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who laid down their lives to protect the freedoms we cherish every day.

At We Care Tucson, we are deeply grateful for their service and for the families who carry their legacy forward. May we never forget the cost of freedom, and may we continue to serve our communities with the same spirit of compassion, sacrifice, and unity.

Another productive board meeting tonight at We Care Tucson. We come together to support this wonderful nonprofit that continues to serve the youth with impactful STEM Camps, adult education in technology and services the community with recycling โ™ป๏ธ opportunities and affordable electronics.

Weโ€™re all rallying to find lunch sponsors to supply daily lunches we offer kids at our summer camps just a few weeks away. If you or your company are looking for an amazing way to give back feeding these hungry minds is a great place to start. Weโ€™d love to thank you personally onsite on the day you sponsor us.
