Big announcement! The Stage Nature Center building will be open until 7pm on Thursdays until Labor Day!
Explore the indoor exhibits and grab a family nature scavenger hunt from the reception desk. Child scavenger hunt participants can choose a prize when completed.

One more day to pre-order native plants from East Michigan Native Plants LLC. Pick up your purchases at Stage on Saturday, May 30th between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Master Gardener volunteers will be available during that time to answer your questions.

Horticulturist Angela Nelson from East Michigan Native Plants, LLC will bring over 60 species of Michigan native perennial wildflowers and grasses for you to select from. Great things are happening at Stage! New parking lot fencing courtesy of Eagle Scout Chase, new *larger* habitat being prepped for our growing Eastern Garter Snake, and monarch eggs in the native garden!

A few spots left in tomorrow's Story Time at Stage. For ages 2-6 and free adult partner. A naturalist-led program with a story and craft. Program runs 30-60 minutes, $2 per child participant. Register on our website to secure your spot!

Pre-registration is required. Come join a naturalist and enjoy a nature-themed story time and craft. Program will run between 30 minutes to an hour. Our American Garter snake is resting up for a May full of field trip programs and corporate volunteer workdays! This week we welcome St. John Lutheran, Graham Elementary, Addams Elementary, Troy Union Elementary, and Academy of the Sacred Heart as well as a volunteer group from Troy High/Athens High School. Cocoon update: the cocoon that our volunteer found in the native garden last week was actually a Polyphemus moth and it emerged today. It's been released and is living its best (very short!) life at Stage
