So what does everyone do once the snow is gone?? The members at GTASC get a game plan together to work on the trails! Yup, break time is over. A group of our members went out to assess the trails after the extreme flooding we received. They are coming up with a plan for brushing, signing and trail repair. If you could volunteer just one day to the cause we would appreciate it. We will be posting work parties once the plan is final. Come out and join us, just one day will make a difference on OUR trails.

Groomer Don went out on the South trail yesterday. He reported that the trail groomed up nice. There were some overhanging branches and a few downed trees that he took care of. Thanks Don for volunteering your time to groom our trails. Better hurry and get out there before the warm up. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober.

Please join us in a moment of silence to say goodbye to our cherished friend. He arrived in early December for a few weeks and then left us only to return in January with vengeance. He brought smiles to all our faces as he continued to pile up on our trails. Even though we rode him hard, kicking him out of the corners and moguling him up, he didn't mind. He knew that groomers would bring him back to life. Now, his mother has decided he's had enough fun. She's turning him to water with 50+ degree weather along with thunderstorms. There is always hope that he returns for one last ride, but if he doesn't, we will impatiently wait until next December to see our frosted friend again.

So, what do the trails look like after receiving over a half inch of rain and 50 degree temps yesterday? My thoughts exactly, so I went out and took a few pics. Surprisingly, not too bad. Is there dirt showing in spots, yes. Are they hard and flat, yes. Do we need more snow, yes, yes please. After tomorrow, temps are suppose to drop back under freezing. Now all we need is some snow. Keep doing those snow dances.
