💜 Standing Together for Our Community: Support, Safety & Healing 💜
Our hearts are heavy as our community processes the heartbreaking tragedy involving the deaths of Tristan and Charles Harrison from Towanda. We extend our deepest condolences to everyone grieving this unimaginable loss.
Events like this can leave families, friends, neighbors, and our entire community searching for answers and struggling with difficult emotions. They also remind us of the importance of recognizing warning signs, reaching out when we are concerned, and making sure people know they are not alone.
At the Abuse & R**e Crisis Center (ARCC), we want our community to know that help is available. Domestic violence does not always look the same from one relationship to another, and it is not always visible to those on the outside. Sometimes, the people who need support are not only the individuals directly experiencing abuse, but also the family members and friends who are worried about someone they love.
💜 How can you support someone who may be experiencing domestic violence?
• Listen without judgment and let them know you care.
• Express concern privately and compassionately.
• Avoid blaming, pressuring, or confronting an abusive partner, as this may increase the risk of harm.
• Encourage them to connect with a trained advocate who can help explore options and develop a safety plan.
• Remember that leaving an abusive situation can be complicated and potentially dangerous. Professional support can help individuals make informed decisions about their safety.
ARCC is here for survivors, families, and concerned loved ones. Our services include 24/7 crisis support, safety planning, crisis intervention, counseling support, and referrals to community resources. You do not have to navigate these difficult circumstances alone.

💜 There is help. There is hope. And our community is here for you.
